I purchased a small which is the normal size I got with and it fits very snug. It is a nice sleek helmet but the noise is HORRIBLE. Once I hit 45mph it whistles so loud in the helmet it makes your ears ring. Unfortunately since I had to wear this helmet to figure that out I can not return it. Not to happy about that.

I wear a 7 5/8 hat and the xxl is super tight.
I’ve only worn this on a few rides so far but is light and comfortable. No air leaks anywhere. I wear a Fox mx helmet in a medium size but had to exchange my medium for a small in the icon as it was a bit loose. Nice and easy to put a SENA 20s system in it and works great.
Its a icon its great stuff it was a great price on it you can't bet the deal thanks
Good and nice helmet in all way, only one complaint is the air vent control button is a cheap plastic. it got broke in the first use itself.
Bought this for my boyfriend so he can ride his sport bike and he absolutely loved it! He told me the air flow is great in it and how he likes how light it feels while riding. He's very happy with his helmet.
Wish i could return this helmet. First i had to get 2 sizes bigger. The wind noise is the worst thing about this hrlmet. On a cold day closing the vents dont help any at all. So much noise and wind get through even when i canged shields.
This is the first time I've used a helmet on a motorcycle so my opinion DOES lack experience.
According to the sizing chart, my head measured at the largest part of the sizing range and was a little concerned with fitment. Nonetheless, since Motorsport does allow a free exchange, I went ahead with the medium. It fits very tight, which from what I've learned, is the correct way to wear a helmet. The great thing about it is that you can replace the padding with different sizes to make little adjustments, which I didn't find the need to do.
Riding on local streets, the helmet is fantastic. Wind noise is minimal and airflow is great. There have been times on hotter days when sitting at a light, the visor will fog, or rather build condensation. This is usually remedied by cracking the visor a little as soon as you move for about 10 seconds.
On the highway, after about 65-70mph, you can feel the air resistance. Not that we should be going any faster but there is a high probability that you will need to duck behind your windshield at higher speeds so your head doesn't become your parachute.
The visor system is simple, yet a little annoying at the same time. It's very straightforward for replacing the visor, but taking the end caps off can be really annoying. I actually don't even switch back to the clear visor anymore because it's just a pain to take off the end caps. I highly recommend ordering a set of end caps for each visor you have so that the change out process is simple. The good news is, you can still see pretty well out of the tinted visor it comes with at night, but there is a disclaimer. I travel through the well lit streets of downtown Chicago.
Would I buy this again? Yes! Overall, I feel I got a lot more than I paid for.
This is my 2nd icon helmet and I love it.
I've had a few helmets and this one is pretty good for the price. The helmet fits well and looks good. The padding is extremely comfortable and the helmet is breathable. Only thing I don't like on an Icon helmet is if you drop it you need to replace the plate that holds the visor in
The ICON Alliance Helmet includes both a clear and dark smoke shield. And a limited manufactures warranty.
