Bang for your buck!!!!

No idea why forums bash this slip on. Goes on nice and tight. Looks good for the price. Sounds great with the muffler box still installed. At idle sounds almost stock but through the RPM range it gets louder and deeper without being annoying. I do metal fabrication and everything looks good. I could see why the chrome plating would wear off but you could easily have it powder coated with high heat resistance paint. 2014 Yamaha R6

Mannn is it Loud !!!

I recieved my pipe quick..... Could of installed myself but I didn't have the rachet set handy. So I took it to a local shop which only charged me $35 to install it for me ... it fit perfectly and did not require removal of the butterfly valve!!! No F1 Light!! I love it looks good . Sounds Greatttt!!! If your looking for a loud pipe this is it !! I even feel the bike having more acceleration as well , just a bit.... Really turns heads to my already great looking bike thanks MotoSport!!! Will do buisness again'!

A: Generally with a slip on exhaust you will not need a programer. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your bike from there if necessary.

The Hot Bodies Racing Megaphone Slash Cut Slip-On Exhaust will definitely be louder than your stock exhaust.

A: The internal combustion engine is very simply put a basic air pump. The more air/fuel you can pass through the intake and exhaust from the motor, the more power you will make. HP gains are very subjective to gauge on any one or combination of performance parts. Things like the age of the motor, the tune of the air fuel ratio, the altitude, etc will all have an effect on PEAK HP numbers. Many performance products will not increase your PEAK HP, but rather move the HP to a different RPM range than the stock motor.

A: Its not required but def recommended only if you delete the muffler box or "CAT". Ive got it on my 2014 R6 with the muffler box installed and it sounds and looks way better than stock.

A: The Hot Bodies slip-on megaphone is constructed of stainless steel so it will hold up great to all the rigorous conditions the road can throw at it. With the megaphone design it will definitely be quite a bit louder than your stock muffler. Depending where you are located and your elevation, when installing an aftermarket exhaust, sometimes the bikes have the tendency to run lean. This can only be corrected by re-mapping the fuel injection which requires a programmer. The most common one is the Power Commander. In addition on the Yamaha's, this will remove the EXUP exhaust valve and you will need to purchase the eliminator module from Graves so you do not have check engine lights.

Q: Ive ran a straight pipe on my 2009 Fz6R, can i put a megaphone slip-on on the end or do i need a slip-on with a baffle to reduce back pressure?
i eliminated the catalytic converter and replaced it with a straight pipe

A: The bike can be tuned for either style of exhaust system. Usually a system with more back pressure will create more bottom end power, whereas an more open exhaust will let it rev out more freely. For tuning I would look at a Power Commander and then you can tune and set the bike up to whichever way you would prefer.

A: You might experience a slight loss if you don't use a power commander to remap the bike.
