Excellent product - verify fit for year and make

Great product and well built. Verify will fit year and make as in my case there was very minimal slack from the Front Master to front T and with no "wiggle room" it is hard to manipulate the lines. I am sure its just me. The Rear Line was much more pleasant to install. With that said, the product is excellent and looks nice, so I did not deduct for my issues. lol.

Great Looking, Works Great

My bike is 18 years old and the stock brake line looked at least that old. I rebuilt the master cylinder and caliper, changed the pads and since the line was on clearance, I decided to replace it as well. My brakes work really well with all the new components. Everything pretty much looks the same except for the stainless breaded line. It looks great and my brakes work great, a win win.

Love this system but get the right clamp!

The feel of the Galfer braided line is a huge improvement over stock. That being said, the factory clamp on the fork guard does not secure these cables as well as the stock cable. Ride Engineering makes an aftermarket clamp that solves this problem.

A little confusing at first, but is a great mod

I have a yamaha FZ6R and I got the 2-line system. Not the OEM system. That means it's two seperate lines coming down from the master to each caliper individually. This (theoretically) means each caliper gets equal force and better response.
The downside is that it doesn't use the factory runs. It took a bit of trial and error to find a good run on my bike, as the instructions weren't tailored to my bike specifically. Just said "run behind the forks". After I got the routing figured out though, the rest was smooth sailing. They provide extra crush washers in case you screw up, and the hardware is great quality.

My bike only had the uncolored steel line available, unfortunately. It does look a lot better than the factory lines, but it's not exactly a showpiece. I'm not going to go up to my riding buddies and say, "Guys! Aren't these lines gorgeous!?" No. not really.

The sheathing over the braiding is great quality, and so long as you put the protective sleeves at the factory mount points, you should never have a problem with the lines chafing.

The performance, isn't 100% as expected. But I'm still on a factory master cylinder, so I guess I can't ask for too much. Paired with a new brake lever, and bled properly, it improved the brake feel massively. It's still not what you would get out of a proper radial cylinder though. And just a tip, a lot of newer supersports already have steel lines underneath the black rubber sheathing, in addition to radial cylinders. Only reason to get these in that case is for the routing and looks.

Wrong fitment from Galfer

This is supposed to be an oem replacement but it will not fit. Not the same end fittings as own and is not as long as own. A call to galfer and they stand by their product saying it IS the same as own and I must have a different master cylinder and that's why it won't fit. I bought the bike from original owner 8 yrs ago and I know the guy and also know it's 100% original. The stock parts fische shows the part I have so how does galfer make a part that is so far from oem? Thumbs down for not gettinng it right or trying to make it right.

Meh

I purchased a replacement front braided line for my DRZ400. The item is good quality but the banjo fittings were not crimped on to the line in the correct orientation. After some trial and error, the only way I could get the top banjo fitting to align with the master cylinder was by twisting the braided line. It works, but the line has an unhappy kink and the fitting is under some stress because the braided line is quite stiff. I don't have time to return the unit so I will run it as is. hence the overall rating of "meh".

Q: Anyone use on a 2018 Yamaha YZ85? OEM line is routed under the axle and I want to eliminate that. I just want to know if this brake line goes straight down to the caliper without looping underneath the axle first. Thanks

Q: I have a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 1500 Nomad FI and for the front brake line kit it says and will only let me choose 2 line. I have a 3 line system and the upper brake line I need to be a +6. Is this a 2 line or 3 line that you sell for my bike?

A: Galfer does not make a 3 line kit for your bike but you can buy universal line or even have custom lines made. I would reach out to the directly in this case.

A: The front brake caliper, Suzuki part 59300-13E01-999, is used on the 2000 to 2009 DRZ400S, and also on the 2005 to 2008 DRZ400SM.
The front master cylinder, Suzuki part 59600-44E30, is used on the 2000 to 2017 DRZ400S, and also on the 2005 to 2017 DRZ400SM.
Because the brake caliper and master cylinder are the same, the brake line which connects to these two components will fit both models.
