They have good padding but run extremely small. I wear a 34 waist, ordered a medium was told they should fit (snug) but I should have returned them. They squish my junk!

OMG this is the best piece go gear I've bought yet , perfectly padded in the right places for long trail riding , no rise cuff at leg so they don't creep up , after a 4 hour day on a bike they were worth every penny . if it hurts so good try some of these , it makes the ride so much nicer .
Great fit has a lot of padding I thought to much until i got on the bike then it was perfect no pinch no sweat second pair better than the first
must have these for long trail riding, they fit very snug so dont go down in size.... great product overall
Overall these offer great protection, the padding is in the perfect places, the only problem i had is that large were not a true fit for me. I have moderately sized thighs, I wear a 34 race pant and I could not pull these up high enough due to the tightest. I definitely think an x-large would be the right fit. So if you have decent sized legs I would recommend ordering one size up
Don't first judge them by when you are walking around your house (like I did). The stance you are in on your bike is what these are completely designed around and now that i went on one ride with them i wont go without them. Ever. The groin padding helps in so many ways and the hip and tailbone padding is always there if needed. Only washing once i cant answer the durability rating.
I bought these due to my new fox 360 pants having virtually no padding. I hated these things, wearing them is how I would imagine it would feel in walking around with half a dozen super maxi pads crammed in my underwear or wearing a super absorbent adult diaper!! I'm a 38" waist and the XL is extremely tight, no room for my "junk", very uncomfortable. I can tell after wearing one time, that the waist is going to wear out and tear prematurely. On the plus side, I got totally cleaned out in the first corner, while wearing these, causing my bike to endo and fall on top of me, my hip took the hit and there was no bruising or soreness. Even though they did their job in the crash, I don't know if I can put up with how uncomfortable they are!
i bought these to help with monkeybutt. but they did not work. my monkeybutt was worse with these.
they do however have good padding for crashes.
but if you are looking for something to help with monkeybutt look for something with nylon. nylon doesn't absorb sweat and stick to your skin, chafing it. instead nylon slides on your skin. these shorts absorb sweat and stick to the skin causing the chafing.
I've worn these shorts 3 times, and unfortunately, on the last ride got to test the impact protection qualities of these shorts. I came up a little short on a double through a rhythm section, lawn darted into the dirt and had the bike land on top of me. The bike landed on my left side.
I broke a few ribs and my whole side, above the waist was black and blue and banged up. My Fox pants had hip pads as well and with the extra padded area of the shorts I had no injury or even pain to my hip or
pelvis even though my riding pants were destroyed on that side. Big thumbs up for these shorts. Make sure you order a size bigger though, they fit really tight. Hopefully they reinforce the fabric at the waist in future designs so that they are easier to pull up without the threat of ripping.
I've got a KTM 500 exc with a nice motocross seat but not so good for long off road rides. Otherwise I like the seat so thought I'd try these race shorts. I did 270 miles of pre running the Baja 1000 and no more monkey butt, love these shorts!
