Great fit

Fit and finish are top notch. Installation was simple. Exactly what I needed. A Motosport discount made it even sweeter.

Powercore Insert

Bought this as a replacement for the one I lost that came with my powercore 4 slip on. It fits but not as snug as I'd like it to be but gets the job done with passing ama inspections at local races. I may try using some high temp silicone grease or something to see if I can seal it better.

Doesn't fit well.

I bought this because my Powercore 4 silencer needed a spark arrestor for riding at parks. The actual item is really well made, but it doesn't fit well on my bike. The bolt does not seem to tighten all the way down and what I end up getting is a really loose spark arrestor. Maybe I just need a longer bolt. But so far, it sucks.

A: More than likely there is a stamp, or a plate that is on the inside of your canister that will tell you which FMF you are currently running.

A: Ryan,
We do not have that measurement. You can contact FMF directly and they should be able to get that answer for you.

A: This will not work for your 2 stroke, this is for 4.1 model slip-on's.

Q: Do I need to get this and the fmf 4.1 s/a too? for a dual exhaust 2006 crf250r with the fmf 4.1
Over 5 years ago
on the fmf 4.1 spark arrestor page it says I need this part to make it fit. I'm not sure if I need just this or both of the s/a.

A: To better assist you in answering this question, I was able to get a response directly from FMF Racing.

"Thank you for your interest we appreciate your business. Currently we do not offer a dual set up for the 2006 CRF250R but we do offer a single muffler that will work with the stock or FMF header. This muffler will come with a quiet core spark arrestor insert. If you purchased a dual muffler for this model it will not come with an insert but we do offer inserts that will work in the smaller canister. Since the dual canisters are smaller they will use a smaller insert. For any further questions please contact us at the number below or via email."

A: This is the incorrect spark arrestor for the fmf 4.1 exhaust. Here's the link to the correct part: http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/product/FMF-FACTORY-41-SPARK-ARRESTOR-INSERT/?catalogId=102323

this will not lower the sound of the bike by much.

A: FMF offers a few different spark arrestors for the powercore 4. Take a look at this fmf page to see which powercore 4 you have:
