Fly Racing began as a manufacturer of motorcycle handlebars and helmets. Since then, the brand has quickly developed into one of the fastest growing powersports apparel brands in the market.
Durable and lightweight polymer shell.
MIPS low-friction layer can absorb more of the rotational force of impacts, adding more protection than other standard EPS helmets.
Custom molded rubber trim with integrated nose guard helps to keep rocks and debris away from your nose.
Helmet is constructed using super-strong, lightweight machined aluminum visor screws and stainless steel rivets and D-rings for superior strength and years of worry-free use.
Three shells and four EPS sizes for a precise fit.
Comfort liner and cheek pads absorb sweat, while also providing plenty of ventilation.
Removable and washable interior.
Multi-port air induction cooling system includes 13 intake and six exhaust vents that create massive airflow to keep your head cool.
High-Flow ventilation system is designed to precisely align the comfort liner and EPS (expanded polystyrene) to maximize airflow.
High-Flow mouthpiece allows plenty of airflow and is replaceable.
Includes soft fleece helmet bag.
Meets DOT FMVSS 218 and ECE 22.05.
MIPS is an advanced and efficient brain protection system that provides a secure environment for riders of all kinds. MIPS industry-leading technology deals with "rotational violence" which is found to be the leading cause of concussion and even more severe brain injuries. It mimics the brain's own protection system.
When the head hits the ground at an angle, the brain slides along a membrane on the inner surface of the skull, which reduces the rotational forces transmitted to the brain. The MIPS yellow Low Friction Layer (LFL) sits between the helmet's EPS and the liner. At impact there is a movement, independent of direction, between MIPS and the liner that substantially reduces the rotational force to the brain.
MIPS does not interfere with a helmet's existing safety property, performance or design, adding minimal weight and less than 1 mm in thickness. It's based on more than 15 years of R&D at the Royal Institute of Technology and The Karolinska University Hospital in Stockholm, Sweden.
