Best brace

Good support

Comfort 4/5 Durability 1/5 Performance 1/5

Light braces for sure but also weak. constantly replacing parts. They are better than nothing both not worth the price they want for them, do not proctect very well just don't hold your leg secure enough. Mobius x8 are cheaper and offer much more stability

EVS Axis Pro

I'll start by saying that I have a completely torn ACL in my left knee. Purchased the Axis Pro braces because the hinge is sturdy on both sides of the knee when fitted which helps with ACL instability. Took them for their first ride this weekend and it was seriously a night and day difference. Dug my bad leg into a couple of ruts as well as drug my leg out of a couple turns and had zero problems. Coming from a position where I wouldnt put my leg out on left turns 80% of the time, these braces boosted my confidence x1000. EVS Axis Pro Braces have seriously opened up a brighter year of riding for me.

Pros - Braces look awesome. Fitment was true to size for me. Super comfortable straps (I was wearing a Fly Brace Sock). Straps didn't ride down or come undone. Carbon Fiber is not chincy and seems very sturdy. Velcro for straps has very good grip so they didn't loosen up.

Cons - Price point could be a little lower.
Would be cool if the sliding patella protection could be removed so the brace could be used for non-contact sports such as trampoline or something. Important stuff for people with a torn or reconstructed ACL.

Hope this helps guys!

Highly recommended

This is my first set of knee braces, and they were very comfortable from the very first ride. My confidence soared after wearing these and taking big impacts with virtually no pain whatsoever. I never realized how tentative my riding had become as I've aged (I'm 51), but thanks to these braces, I'm gaining again!
Read the instructions for fitment and (silly as it sounds) the protocol for tightening up the velcro straps. If you tighten the straps in the proper order, the fit is assured and the knee braces end up in the correct position on your legs.
Cons: I had to buy new riding pants to accommodate the size of the braces.

The braces look great. After the correct adjustment they were ok for a few rides. After some wear i needed to really snug the velcro down to keep the braces in place. The velcro lost its strength and the knee cap guard broke away from the lower mount. They haven't been great braces for me. I ran the original Asterisks prior and felt they were a better design with a larger foot print connecting to the back of the leg rather then straps. The laces and other componants did deteriorate from sweat on the Asterisks.

I bought the pod mx k700

I bought all of the knee braces and had my own shoutout. I was leaning towards the asterisks as I have used those for years. The original models that is.

I decided to upgrade to a lighter speaker frame so I looked at all of them.

The k700 is by far the slickest brace out there.

These EVS braces are over engineered and strapped in an uncomfortable place behind the knee.

The k700's are almost not noticeable after about 15 minutes of running. No hangups either.

Q: Would this work for martial arts?

A: Im not sure what type of martial art you are doing but likely you would not want to use a hard construction (aluminum and carbon fiber) brace. What I would recommend and what is generally used by martial artists would be a soft neoprene style stabilizer such as the EVS.
