Never occurred to me that this was not a good idea. Why go with a wave rotor and lose the extra pad surface which you want to braking?? Was too busy thinking how cool they would look, which they do.
The rotors themselves are rusting already and they have only been on the bike for 6 months, the originals had been on for 4 years and had hardly a rust mark on them. This was my 2nd attempt with EBC rotors and again I should have run as the first set of no wave rotors i had gotten for my previous FJR rusted so bad after just 2 months i had to get replacement rotors and have them swapped out. Not a good day that was. Also a down side to wave rotors which i didn't know about after they were installed (my fault for not doing enough research) is they they will create oscillations while breaking and in the case of these rotors, as they have a large way, they actually cause some front end shaking. Not too bad but enough to make you wonder why you got them.
If you don't care about breaking performance and just want the look then these are up your alley. If you still want the look and performance then get something with a small wave in it. I will stick with non-wave rotors in the future.
