Great tire. I just wish I had got one a little harder. Soil is still too hard and dry. I should have gotten a med. hard
no problems w front end washout or back not hooking up. these came stock on my husky and you would have a hard time getting stuck in these tires. great on rocks, trail chop, mud, hills hard pack and soft terrain. they do it all with no problem. big fan of these tires. Husky knew what they were doing when they used these stock. medium soft tire. buy with confidence. motorsport delivers right on time the first time as usual.
Installed these on a customers bike , total restoration but it will get ridden in the woods . This tire fit the look of the bike with excellent traction . Easy to mount , bead right up with xtra heavy duty tubes . Priced right . Can't beat the tire combos of Motosport. 5th set so far and will be back next week for my Klx300r
Great tires. My review is based on the Desert RC. I run these on both a 300 smoker and 500 thumper. I ride mostly Desert that includes sand washes, wide open spaces, rocky areas, and single track that is abrasive. Moab slick rock was great too. In Colorado high county the front was a bit iffy in the slick wet and rooty single track. But I think most tires are in that stuff ;-)
I've been racing Open cross country for few years now. This tire combo really impressed me. Works great in all conditions. Rear tread looks like a trials tire but very durrable compound. Minimal chunking in rocks. Front gets great traction in all conditions. I am amazed how long they lasted! I did have a few punctures in front, runnig tublis so tire plugs worked. Moving to bib-mousse so never have flat again.
Ran this tire for a Enduro restart race. Was mostly sand with some hard pack. Found that this tire would not corner very well and I was constantly fighting to keep the rear end under the bike.
If you really like to steer with the rear tire then it might work. But it did not work for me. I changed it out and ran a Maxxas Maxx Cross it and had much better stability in the sand.
The tire performed very good in a wide range of terrain.
The front tire really tracks well and is consistent and predictable.
The rear tire hooks up well and at 8 psi performed much like a trials tire in the rocks and a knoby in the dirt.
Mud, hard pack, clay, big rocks, log crossing, creek crossing it performed surprisingly well a cross the board.
It is my new tire of choice for enduro riding and harescrambles.
these tires have lasted me longer than any set I've ran in the last couple years! I'm definitely buying this same set again once they wear out.
The soft knobs give you awesome grip, in turn they don't last that long.
