Solid tire!

Solid tire! The reinforced side wall makes this tire a good fit for riding rocky terrain. Works great and hard pack and rocky conditions. If it holds up it’ll be my new go to.

Great tire

Great tire. I run a AT81 in the rear for winter time trail riding here in southern Oregon. Tire works awesome in the wet sloppy stuff and in the hard pack tire last quite a few rides as long as you keep it out of the rocks. My only complaint is the price $99 for just the rear.

Quality

Best quality tire on the market. Durable and long lasting. I put average on installation cause I'm not very good and mounting tires but I'm sure if you are experienced at it you'll have no problem.

Installed easier than expected

I purchased this with a 2bliss kit and was worried the RC version would be more difficult to install. No problem! The knobs round off pretty quickly on these tires, but other than that they last a respectable amount of time and provide great all around traction. I probably would not use these for MX track, but off road they are really good in a variety of terrain.

Great Tire

I ride track and trails mostly. This tire works great on both. If you're looking for a great multi-use tire, this is the one.

Hey guys, I know you're on here looking for a true, honest review, so here it is... the tire looks like a nice knobby when you get it! the nipples last a good 10 hours (which for me is roughly 10 rides.) I liked the performance, it done good in almost all conditions, even in the snow. straight line traction and braking is great! the side lugs are large; however, they don't get as much sideways traction as I'd like. while in a rut the traction was good, but coming out of a corner, the rear would break loose pretty bad. I've had the tire for about 9 months now, it has less than 1/4 tread left, but it has been though several amounts of hard abuse. if you have a question pertaining the tire, call your local off-road tire store, or Motosport, Dunlop will NOT call you back! Have a good day, happy trails, and remember... you meet nice people on a honda

Great rear tire

This is the second time I've purchased this tire and I am impressed again by how well it grips and it's durability.

What a tire...

I'm not going to lie, this tire is a little difficult to install with the reinforced construction, but that little bit of difficulty will pay off with fantastic grip in all conditions and excellent durability. My first ride on this tire was in deep dark loamy soil and it tracked well and was predictable. The next was in super soft sugar sand and it gave me grip when I thought I wouldn't have it. The last was a mix of those two soils as well as some rocky blue groove and again it gave me great traction. The best part about all that is I haven't had to flip it yet because the lugs haven't rounded off yet. This tire is fantastic and I highly recommend it to anyone.

A: The Dunlop Geomax AT81 Desert RC Rear Tire is a replacement for the 956 series of tires and is a great all around tire that provides excellent wear characteristics. It works well in all terrains, but does better in harder terrain like offroad riding.

Q: With this tire being so stiff, could I run 9 psi with a heavy duty tube?
I have a 2012 crf250r with this rear tire and have an ultra heavy duty tube in it. I was wondering if I can run less than 10 psi in it? The tube is 3mm thick, so would I be fine running 8 or 9 psi, or is that too low?

A: Generally Intermediate to hard pack you would want to run 11-13 psi in the rear tire. For hard wall tires running in soft conditions some people do go as low as 8-9 psi.
