Helped keep the bike leaning in the corners and helps the entrance to the ruts. Not drastically noticeable but if you know your bike you will feel improvement. Just check hoses for rubbing after, had to put som predation I’m one of my radiator hoses.
it really made my bike handle great but u cant use it if u have oversized radiators.
This is a great idea and I was looking forward to see the difference this kit makes on my 09 yz250f. The ignition side is a breeze and works great. The exhaust side was poorly designed and lowers the radiator to sit directly on the header pipe. 1. The added heat of the exhaust onto the radiator overheads motor, and 2. Over time the thin aluminum of the radiator would be worn away from vibration and rubbing. Horrible design. Had to return it.
The first tip-over I had with these on caused one of the radiators to crack and leak. I wouldn't recommend these unless you don't fall or you don't mind replacing radiators.
I didn't really notice a difference in handling with them on. But I'm not very fast so possibly if I was at a pro level I would.
i got an 09 yz 250 f not only is 50 dollars a rediculous amount of money for six pieces of aluminium you could make in about 15 minutes but to top it off they dont even work on my bike right out of the factory u only have a 1/4 inch of clearance over the header i think dr. d should do a little more r&d before they go selling products that dont work
Bought Dr D rad lowering kit for a 2009 kx 250f a little quirkey to put on need to trim hoses about 1/4'' left side easy right side not so easy need to adj at an angle and radiator goes from 1'' from the header down to 3/16'' extra heat heats up the radiator if you ride slow or stop while bike is running I had to wrap the header at that point makes headrer bolt inacessable but does make a differance in handling made bike feel even lighter in corners
