Vance & Hines Shortshots Exhaust Quiet Baffle

Vance & Hines Shortshots Exhaust Quiet Baffle

Esskay - Raleigh, NC One good, one defective "I purchased two of these for V&H Short Shots. Installation was easy for one but I could not get the other one in so I removed the pipe. After still having difficulty I noticed the threads had something like welding slag on them. Then I remembered when I received the shipment, one box was from V&H, the other looked like it had been repackaged, like a return from someone else. I explained everything to Isaac and he sent a replacement ASAP. Unfortunately I now had to buy a new exhaust gasket as well when I reinstalled the pipe. I am happy with the performance of these. The sound is only slightly lower than before but I just creep out of the neighborhood in a higher gear when leaving for work. I think my bad baffle was a previous return that unfortunately got sent out again. Hopefully it does not happen to anyone else."

Marty McMotorbikeRider - Nebraska Nice and quiet "First, I LOVE the sound of the unrestricted GP exhaust on my Honda 919. For long trips, though, it becomes quite fatiguing even with ear plugs/buds and a full faced helmet. With the insert in at highway/interstate speeds I can barely hear the exhaust over wind noise. Long rides are much more enjoyable. Don’t get me wrong I like a good sounding loud exhaust as much as the next cat, with this insert you have the best of both worlds. (I’ve had it in and out several times.) It will take you longer to walk to your tool box to find your big snap ring pliers than it will to actually install/remove the insert. On that note you do need some pretty good sized snap ring pliers."
