Great grip,, improves handling & is confidence inspiring
Tirest are great, changed handling characteristics of the bike for the better over previous Metzelers. Great in the wet too. Unfortunately while I ordered these as a set, it took so long for Moto to find the rear that the rebate offer timed out; I'm out $50.
I have bought sport bike tires for Years, I have gone through cycles and used all the big names at one point or another. I never considered Continental tires. never even on my radar. This changed when I bought an RC8R it came from the factory with these tires. First ride I was amazed at the bike but the tires have never lost grip. As the rear started to show wear at 1600 miles ont he rear. I begin to do some research and look at these. I am happy with the price and I don't feel i gave up anything in grip and or longivity. When another one of bike needs tires Attack will be looked at.
Great tires, and always fantastic prices on the Contis at Motosport! I've been running Continental Sport Attack and Road Attack tires on all my street bikes for the last several years, so they're what I'm used to, and so confidence-inspiring in all conditions.
I bought my R1 with what I'm assuming were factory tires. The bike was scary even tho I'm an experienced rider. I almost wrecked it several times just because the factory tires wouldn't hook up! I ran the Conti Road Attack on my previous R6, and absolutely loved the tire. After doing some research and knowing my experience with the Conti tires, I thought the Attack 2's would be a good "fit" for my R1... I was right!!! Bike finally corners like it's on rails and power wheelies on command! Absolutely phenomenal tire for "normal" street riding!
work great in all conditions i have ridden in and have great wear so far
I used to use Conti Road Attacks and loved them. When the Road Attack 2 came out, I tried it. This is my 2nd set of these. They are sticky from the start and warm up quickly. They inspire peg-scraping confidence for sure. I use them on my FZ1. I just bought a 2007 Aprilia Tuono with a nearly worn out (probably stock) Metzler front tire. That old tire slid several times while attempting stoppies. I immediately changed it to the Road Attack 2 and now it grips like I new it would. Of course, mileage will vary based upon how aggressively you ride. I ride pretty hard (wheelies, and peg scraping corners (no burnouts except for minor tire spin while doing wheelies). I usually get close to 4000 miles on a tire. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
On my second set. First rear ran 6000 miles. First front on 2nd bike 9000 miles has at least 2 more. FZ1 ridden fairly hard. really excellent turn in.
- Fast heat up time
- Excellent traction in wet weather
- Sick tread pattern
A little expensive, but well worth the money. Great set of tires for any street bike.
Props to MotoSport for the lowest price online and ridiculously fast shipping.

Question answered by MichaelUser's contributor status: Top 10Question answered 4 months 27 days agoAnswer: A: the "R" and the "ZR" are the tire ratings, with the ZR being the highest rating available for a tire. Certain bikes call for different compounds. Feel free to reach out to us directly with your Year, Make, and Model so we can help guide your purchase for your new tires.
