HIGH TENSILE SUPER PENETRATED CORD: Bridgestone is currently the only manufacturer to use 5 single steel filaments in an MSB cord. These 5 steel filaments are openly spaced and twisted in a rubber coating that ensures equal and constant tension, helping to provide good levels of tire stiffness, flexibility and shock absorption. Tires featuring HTSPC deliver more grip in wet and dry, plus better handling due to consistent contact pressure. The rubber-insulated cord avoids oxidation and reduces heat generation, giving you more even tread wear and higher mileage.
RC POLYMER: RC Polymer technology optimizes the distribution of silica in the rubber compound and improves tread flexibility, allowing greater contact with the road surface in both hot and cold conditions. The reduction in molecular friction also improves rolling resistance, therefore increasing fuel economy.
3-LAYER COMPOUND: Bridgestone's advanced 3-layer compound technology for your front tire. The dual compound is hard in the tread center to give you heavy-braking stability, linear handling and high mileage. On the shoulders the compound is soft and sticky for maximum cornering grip...right up to full lean angle.
SILICA RICH: Bridgestone's Silica Rich compound gives rear tires enhanced grip in wet conditions and low temperatures, ensuring excellent handling from the moment you start moving. The Silica Rich compound also provides more consistent and longer-lasting grip.
MONO SPIRAL BELT: Bridgestone's proven Mono Spiral Belt construction - a continuous single strand of special cord wrapped around the circumference of the tire - is applied to all rear Battlax radial tires. This one-piece construction eliminates the overlapping of belts, seams and joints, and is lighter than conventional multi-cross belt constructions. The great advantage of MSB is that less heat is generated in the tire during rotation - giving you greater stability and shock absorption on the road.
NanoPro-Tech: Bridgestone's advanced NanoPro-Tech technology optimizes the performance characteristics of the tire by controlling the interaction between polymer, filler materials and other rubber chemicals on a molecular level. This helps reduce friction, heat and tread deformation during tire rotation, leading to better tread grip and longer wear life.
