This in my opinion is the best aftermarket air filter you can buy, I like it better than K&N. You can really feel the difference in performance. And the filter is very good quality.
i bought this filter for my Daytona, i had the Racefit slip on and the Arrow Tune and this filter help gain HP, i put 3k on it already and no complaints !! def recommend this filter !!
Air filter fit perfect, no issues. Noticeable improvement in engine performance. Good product., Hard to find performance filters for my MV Agusta, BMC fits like factory part!
Filter is not the filter labeled on outside of box. This is an issue with BMC not MotoSport as BMC does not make correct replacement filter for 2010 and up machines. The 2008-2009 filter that was in box fits BUT is not same as OEM.

Sound from the intake is a lot louder over stock, though this upgrade is pretty much cookie cutter for everyone.
The only reason I have not answered the durability question is because I have only been running it for a couple weeks now and that is not long enough to give a good reliable response, otherwise it was awesome.
The main draws of aftermarket filters, are their reusability, and their better-than-stock air flow. Where they differ, and where it counts, is in how well they hold up to repeated cleanings, and how well they still manage to filter, while retaining those higher flow numbers. Some other brands (even the biggest brands around) just can't handle the repeated in-and-out process required for maintenance, as well as the repeated cleanings. I've seen big brands have their glue fail, elements puncture, and gaskets just stop sealing. I've also seen the "t-shirt test" results for those other filters, and it made me cringe to see how much debris made it past the filter that I'm relying on to protect my engine. OEM filters are fantastic at stopping dirt, dust, and even ash from getting into your cylinders. Some major brands of aftermarket "high-performance" filters get their improved airflow by *not* filtering these fine particles. With BMC, I have not had a single gasket fail to seal the box. I've never had the glue fail after repeated washings, because most BMC filters are not glued - they are moulded into a single piece. I've also seen the "t-shirt test" results that show BMC filtering equally-well to the OEM filters, while still offering much higher airflow than stock. BMC is in every bike I've got, and will remain so until I see a reason to change.
I have a bmw r1100rs and it had a k&n filter which had never been cleaned it was black instead of red, when I was buying a new filter I thought I'd give bmc filter a try over k&n and it seems a little better made
