Lightweight

This battery took several pounds off my mike. It works well - still a little cold blooded. I couldn't be happier

Question answered Over 8 months ago
Answer: The Lifespan of the battery may vary depending on usage, and climate. These factory activated motorcycle batteries are backed by a 2 year warranty.

Note: BikeMaster recommends that you only use a Lithium Ion specific charger/maintainer for your Lithium Ion battery. Most regular charger/tenders have a different charge profile that may not get the Lithium batteries up to a full charge, thereby shortening their life cycle. Also, some chargers will have a “pulse” or “desulfation” mode that will kill a Lithium battery.

Not covered by BikeMaster warranty: Opening the battery case; non-specified applications such as: aircraft, automotive, motive power; Over-charging, or other error by charger or user setting of charger; Short circuit of main terminals;Improper connections; Over-discharge (i.e., resting voltage allowed to fall below 10.5v); Use of chargers intended for lead-acid batteries (any charger with a "pulse or desulfation mode"); Excessive overcranking; And physical damage to the battery occurring after purchase (impact, etc).

Question asked by BkeMike

Question: You use the term “Lithium-Ion” in your advertising and on the battery but describe it as “Lithiun-Iron-Phosphate” down the page.  These are two different technologies with some important differences.  Which is it?

Question answered Over 12 months ago
Answer: You are correct. Lithium-iron-phosphate is a newer version in the lithium battery family, yet they are both known commonly as "lithium ion" batteries due to the common use of the name and the newer technology not quite taking foothold in the market yet.

BikeMaster has upgrade the technology in their lithium batteries to the latest version and you will be receiving the iron type battery with this purchase.

Answer: We suggest that you take your bike to a service shop to see what your options are. Size of the battery is only one issue. You would still need to have enough CCA from the battery to start and operate the bike.
