You get what you pay for

I was able to break one chain with this tool. I used it once and it bent the pin on the tool that pushes the pin out of the chain. If you want a chain breaking tool and you don't want to spend a lot, be gentle with this one.

This is a must have tool!

First time using one of these after 25 yrs and man I do not know what I was thinking by using a grinder, punch and hammer to knock the pins out!! This was easy as it gets!

Took Worked Great !

This chain breaker was one of the cheapest ones available and I was unsure of how it was going to work . Well I used it on my chain which is is a 520 chain and it worked perfect ! Don't waste your money on the more expensive one ... This one works perfect !!

Good product for the price

Just as the other reviews have said, this is a good product for the money. Compact and was easy to use. Would definitely purchase again.

Tough as nails

I bought the chain breaker about a year ago and I have put my 1/2" impact gun on this thing multiple times to get a stubborn link off and never bent or broke great product

Works great on the chain for both the RM 100's and the KX125.

Works perfect!!

This chain breaker is nice and small for portability. Easy to use and worked great, just slow and steady turns is key. Used a few times and still no problems. Good deal for the money.

Q: Do you need a vice?

Does this absolutely need a vice to be used or does that just make it easier and it can be simply held in your hand while breaking?

A: You don't need a vice the only thing you need is a mean pair of man hands and start torquing on it with a ratchet and it will pop that pin right out
Q: Which product is the one in the video attached to this product? There are two different pictures for this product.

A: That must be the one that goes up to 620 chains. Mine is the first picture one, silver n black and it is the 525
Q: Will this work as a chain press as well as a chain breaker?

I'm looking for something I can throw in my backpack along with a few extra links so that way if out in the middle of nowhere and suffer a broken chain I can make a trail side repair instead of having to push my bike back through miles of desert?

A: No this would be a breaker only. I would recommend the Motion Pro Chain Breaker/Press/Riveting Tool.
