This is the first helmet of this type that I have owned. Helmet is true to size I believe. I wear a medium in full face motox helmets as well as full face street helmets. I wear a medium in this as well. I like the fact that you can use the ear covers during the cooler months and not use them during the warm months. I don't really use the flip down eye shield. Overall, this is a good quality made helmet and I would recommend it.

Fits snugly and very comfortable, stylish to boot.
Bought one for me and one for my wife. We seen where they were saying to order a size larger, but ended up measuring our heads and referencing Bell's size chart and trusted that. Both helmets fit well, though I don't need to click the helmet any tighter. My wife does some. Very comfortable.
Having previously owned and ridden sportbikes only, I adamantly wear Shoei and Arai's best helmets, and have 5 total.
Now owning my first Harley, I needed a new look. I found it difficult to find a 1/2 helmet that cost more than $175.00. The carbon look is cool but scratches easily.
Obviously less protection than a full-faced helmet and I won't wear it when I ride my R1, but cruiser riding is less aggresive and this fits my needs. I can't say that any helmet I've owned is more comfortable than this.
Very comfortable, good fit, stays snug at freeway speeds.
I purchased this half shell helmet because that's the only style that will fit under the seat of my scooter. I normally wear a full face sport bike helmet. I've only worn this helmet at speeds below 50 mph.
It has a very nice pull down medium smoked shield that when I first used it - I thought had poor optical quality. The protective film on the new helmets shield was so perfectly applied that I didn't see it! I was pleasantly surprised when I finally realized and peeled off the protective film. Very nice optical quality, and easy to use. The shield fits close to your face though, and the cut out recess for the nose is fussy about the radial placement of the helmet on your head. I end up having to give the helmet a good left twist to keep the nose cutout from contacting my nose. The adjustable fit mechanism keeps adjustment size very well, but I honestly think the helmet surrenders some comfort points as a result of having the ability to fine tune the size of it. Mine is a size large and I think it is very true to size when compared with my full face Bell Vortex and Shoe RF-1100 helmets.
The removable ear muff collar easily zips on or off when desired and adds a great amount of versatility for various riding temperatures. Its very comfortable on, but I remove it when the riding temperature gets over about 75 degrees.
There is a snap to keep the chin strap from flapping around in the wind which works very well, but I do wish Bell would have fit this helmet with the magnetic strap retention feature like their Vortex full face helmet for even quicker use. The strap rings are square rather than the D shape that I prefer, but I'm getting used to it and they work well.
Graphics are quality and attractive to my taste, and the slight built in visor is just right to hide your eyes from the sun while not appearing over bearing to the cosmetic appearance of the helmet. The checkered graphics have a cool retro look to me.
adjustable strap is all that
