Very light, very adjustable. Airy. The back plate is pretty thick (but flexible) and drops way down to cover your lower back. If adjusted correctly, will work with a Leatt brace. I prefer my Leatt 5.5 Body Protector for overall protection, but this will be a good stand-in on hot days. I also tried the Alpinestars A-10, which is a very nice protector. It appears to me that the more-conventional A-10 may provide better rib, shoulder and upper back protection, but I went with the Atlas because it seemed a little lighter, a little more airy, and a little less cumbersome. Only one ride with it so far, but it stayed in place and was comfortable to the point you forget you have it on.

Atlas Guardian Chest Protector can ride up and hit you in the throat. the front chest piece is cut much higher than the atlas defender. i purchased the guardian for the increased protection, and unfortunately had to return it. also the guardian release date was much later than advertised. very disappointed.
