I had an older pair and the knee cap had better protection in those but the brace portion is better fitting in the new version to reduce potential twisting. Might be a problem for a person with a disperportionate quad/hamstring to calf/lower leg. I have chicken legs. A little bulky for tight pants.

Have had several rides in these after purchasing a few months ago. They were very easy to do initial fitting on and wear much better than previous models. I will definitely buy again when I wear out the set I have.
Worth the investment after putting them on for the first time they felt very bulky even walking around but after riding a few times you forget you're wearing them great support and great peace of mind for protecting your knees
Not as comfortable as the old style ones I used for eight years!
But after a crash without them I've learned to appreciate max
These knee braces are one of the best out there. Very comfortable knee brace. These braces are a little hard to get use to when riding, as far as gripping the bike with your knees, but the is common with most knee braces
I decided to try the Asterisk and i very pleased with their fit, comfort and performance.. much better than my old EVS.
The fitment its great! The most important thing is that you feel a natural movement of the knee, without uncomfortable pressure points.
Is light weight but solid, very satisfied with the purchase.
Maybe the price is too high and I hope the later cables long enough
I hope you serve my review for those riders looking for the best.
I owned a set of close-to final prototypes. Obviously since they havent been fully released at time of this review. originally they were only supposed to cost 500 for a set. so the price is steep. Comfort was not the best, after sizing correctly and adjusting all straps and pads it still felt the patella cup area was too far away from my knee causing space not needed and uncomfortable for offroading. It was hard to grip the bike because the frame was thick. high speed desert riding was not possible with these on. and definitely not for any sort of enduro or trail riding. strictly track with these. They boast saying its lightweight but its heavier than a set of mobius x8's. not bashing them completely. the overall fit was not bad except the patella cup. stayed in place fairly well. Main points to take away
-Heavy, bulky, and large patella area.
-steep price for what they are, i sold my prototypes to the owner of a track out here near vegas for 400.
-does offer a lot of protection and the patella cup completely coves your knee. self aligning system works great.
-honestly, dont think they are worth it for the price. better off with the alpinestars c frame or k8's from pods.
