I crashed my bicycle a few years ago and broke my hip so I almost always have hip protection for velo, moto and skiing. I probably have 6 different pair of padded shorts. The hard shell AStars and Forcefield provide more protection, but these are the lightest and most comfortable of all. I kind of choose the shorts based on how hard I could fall and the likelyhood. I know you can never always choose the right ones, but these are the best for comfort in warmer weather, but offer some of the least protection.
great the first couple of rides then the stitching on the inner thigh came undone - basically see my entire right side - very lame considering the price.
I do like these shorts, but I have a couple of small issues. The first is that the waist needs to be more stretchy. They fit fine once they go over your hips but I heard some stitches popping the first time I tried to pull them up. The other issue is they tended to get bunched up on the sides while I was riding. Can't really compare them to anything else tho because it's my first pair of riding shorts.
Used to get moderate monkey butt after riding all day. Ordered a pair of these bad boys, and lotion myself all over down there, and no more monkey butt. I can ride for weeks straight now!
Breathable, durable, compress everything nicely. Good padding for the tailbone. Ordered a Medium for 32" waist and it worked out great.
It was a little tight and stiff for the first day i used it. I felt confident that it would protect.
