Hinson constructed their Billet Clutch Basket out of aircraft quality T-6 aluminum, with aerospace tolerances and Akadized to increase the wear resistance by five times. With the efficiency of using this aluminum, the Hinson Billet Clutch Basket is able to increase the dissipation of heat within the clutch assembly. This feature produces better performance and increases the life of the clutch. The tight tolerances of the Hinson Billet Clutch Basket keep the clutch spinning more true, eliminating unnecessary friction and lowering the operating temperature of the clutch system. Use the Hinson Billet Clutch Basket in conjunction with the Hinson Pressure Plate and Inner Hub to kill clutch chatter, making your clutch consistent and reliable every ride.

This has been the best addition to my CR500af since my Rekluse.
Love this product, fit perfectly, makes clutch actuation so smooth, and is wearing like iron, not to mention it is a trick looking piece. Great stuff.

Hinson Clutch Basket

Product fit perfect. Much lighter than the stock basket. Using the inner hub and pressure plate from Hinson removes quite a bit of weight from the bike and the basket and hub last a much longer amount of time. Definitely a must have addition if you ride your bike hard.

Power is amazing

the torque you will get with this basket makes it worth the money for sure !! i have no idea if it notches and faster or slower then stock but it out preforms it by far.

Q: Can I leave off the kickstart gear and cushions?

If the kickstart mechanism is removed, and the motor is only bump started, can the gear which normally attaches to the basket be left off? Will there be potential balance or strength or fitment issues?

hello Motosport Ball bearings in the clutch basket on my KTM 125 sx is damage. Is there ball bearings with this clutch basket from Hinson and does it fit to KTM 125sx 2013 so I only need to put the large gear on as shown in the info movie? best regards Steen

A: I am assuming your are referring to the large needle bearing that the clutch basket itself rides on over the main shaft. The clutch basket does not include this bearing and you would use an OEM KTM bearing even with this basket. That bearing can be found in the OEM parts finder here: http://www.motosport.com/dirtbike/oem-parts/KTM/2013/125SX/CLUTCH?fam=Engine

A: Yes.

You don't have to buy the inner Hinson hub to use the outer Hinson basket.

A: They are rubber inserts that are located on the back of the clutch basket. I'm only aware that Honda's have them. I've never seen them for any other mfg.

A: The basket i ordered had the new cushions in them. Yet i ordered them due to the above poster. The best thing you can do is Call Motosport.

A: Cushions are not included. OEM will work as a replacement if needed.
