Superbike styling right from Yoshimura Suzuki Road Racing! The trapezoidal shape is all business, but as racing enhances the breed - the result-driven shape makes for a beautiful muffler. The R-77 delivers better performance overall, specifically due to the large volume of packing material applicable to its shape. The R-77 is not loud, but throaty.

  • The R-77 features a straight baffle with removable low-volume insert.
  • The muffler's front-cap is MIG-welded, while the carbon fiber end-cap is riveted on, using high-end 304-L polished stainless steel rivets and bands.
  • 3/4 system includes R-77 muffler, stainless steel tail-pipe / header, installation hardware, and detailed step-by-step instructions.
  • Note: For closed course competition use only. Not intended for street use.

Akrapovic awesomeness

Looked around and did lots of research for slip on exhaust system for my 13 Vstrom 650. I decided on the Akrapovic 3/4 slip on system and haven't been disappointed in the least!

Great ordering experience from motosport--got exactly what I ordered and it came in a few days. Pipe went on pretty much exactly as the directions said, and the sound is amazing! Also, I thought for sure the "extra horsepower" was just mostly marketing BS, but it's not! From the very first ride with the Akrapovic system I was blown away by how much more pep, especially off the line, my bike has.

I have the Suzuki hard cases, and this exhaust won't fit with them on "as is", but I got out the powersaw and chopped off part of the hard case rack, so no problem! Would definitely recommend this pipe to anybody!

Do I need a fuel programmer with this pipe for my 2011 cb1000r?

Generally with a slip on exhaust you will not need a programer. I would recommend installing the exhaust and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your bike from there if necessary.

Will it fit 2013 Suzuki vstrom with factory hardcases?
Yoshimura R-77 3/4 System Exhaust Some sites, including yoshi site, says this pipe will NOT fit with Suzuki OEM hard cases, but motosport and other sites say it will...done lots of scouring the innerwebs for a definitive answer, but no luck so far!

Hi David,
I have the factory hepco and Becker panniers with top box and have fitted a 3/4 Yoshimura r77. It definitely does fit. The horizontal bar of the luggage rubs slightly on the carbon end cone of the exhaust. Also, the 3/4 system is incompatible with centre stands and some skid plates(givi ok). Hope this helps

Compatability with Honda CB1000R 2008?
Hello, I'm interested to buy Yoshimura R-77 3/4 System Exhaust - Carbon Fiber for my Honda CB1000R 2008. Will this exhaust fit to my model? Should I also buy PowerCommander? Thank you for your answer! Regards, Goran

Unfortunately the R77 3/4 System is not compatible with the 2008 CBR1000r. Although Yoshimura does produce the R77 system for the CBR1000RR in slip on and full system configurations. The Power Commander allows you to tune the motorcycle to perfection when making modifications. In some instances it may not be absolutely required but it is recommended.
