So I bought this and put it on my bike, and rode with it for maybe , 4 races and the bottom bolts that hold the support brackets ripped out! They pulled right throw my fork guard! And I know the first thing you think is maybe I used the wrong size drill bit when I drilled the holes but nope! I used the exact drill bit that the instruction say. The device it self worked flawlessly but I think they need to use a smaller drill bit then what they actually tell you to use.

Cant get any better

This product works so great. mounted up perfectly and instructions are very easy to follow. Besides having stiff suspension and being so light i am not able to compress my suspension enough to do it myself. but once i get someone to compress the forks enough to press the button in the device works magnifecently. It has helped my starts so much that i can pull a higher gear start and pull the holeshot. great product. must have

This is the holeshot device to buy

I tried another brand first, and it was a disaster from a " fit " standpoint.
I then did some research and asking around. Bought this Works Connection device. For my one boys YZ250F 2007. Fitted easily and well, then worked like a charm. Wasn't long and my other boy on a 2008 YZ250F wanted one too. Same satisfaction second time around.
Looking at the bikes around the track, I think this one is more prevalent than all other brands combined. Word seems to have gotten around.

good quality and function. i bought one for a CRF450 and another for a RMZ250. They had a modified kit to reinforce the Suzuki fork guards as the plastic is thinner than the Honda...good engineering. They are a bit pricey for what you get though.
READ THE INSTRUCTIONS in how to set this thing easily with one person. I often see people struggling unnecessarily at the track.

Best Ever!!!!!!!

Ok I would have to say that this is the best Holeshot device ever. I personally have went through three Turner's(don't buy!!!), and used others. From start to finish this was the easiest I have ever used. Don't waste your money on any others, seriouslly!

Nice product

keeps front of bike from wheeling off the start. alittle hard to set by yourself.

Stop the stand ups!

Even if you don't have a problem with wheeling out of the gate it will still help put the power to the back wheels by keeping the front wheel low! No More Standing it Up and looking like a rookie and loosing all that race fees before you ever make the first turn.

i bought this for my 2003 kx125 and ever since inve been getting holeshots more often. would deffently reccomend.

Holeshot device

Used this on 2 races so far and love it. Was tired of being at the middle or back of the pack on starts and have to work your way back up. The two races I used this I was in the top 4 on starts. Would recommend this to all except who I race with!!! LOL,

Holeshot Nailed!

Drastically improves coming off starting gate. Wheelies are thing of the past with this EZ Holeshot. Downside-will scratch your fork tube over time, durability (maybe?), and price. Outrageous price for this simple apparatus!

Awesome device.

i bought this after a cheap holeshot device broke after one use on my bike. this one goes on very easy and is durable. it really helps out with starts by letting you sit further back on your seat without the front end popping up.

Learn from my mistake

Great product, used on my 02 YZ250 and loved it. When I bought a 06 RMZ450 I tried the Pro-Circuit device, BIG MISTAKE. I thought the extra support points (4 screws instead of 2) would hold better on the big 4-stroke. It never lined up well and just pulled through the guard. I got a new guard and bought the WORKS CONNECTION. It worked great. Bought it again for my 07 CRF450, works as described, easy to install, will never use anyone else.

Worth the money

Always a mid pack starter until I installed holeshot device. First race after I installed, I took the holeshot and never had to eat dust for once. If you're tired of playing catch up during the race, I would recommed installing the holeshot device NOW!!!

Get one or wheelie and wish you had one

These things work! The fast guys use them because the work. I'm hard headed and just kept thinking better technique instead of hardware... but I finally bought one and now I love it.

would this be good for my 2006 kx 85 that i drag race and would it make the rear end hook up if i sat farther back knowing that it wont come up???? since its such a small bike

A: The first bump the forks took would release the mechanism. I don't think this would work for what you have in mind.

how does this prevent wheelies?!?!
Expert MotoSport Staff
Over 7 years ago Location: Portland, OR
A: It compresses the front suspension, which keeps the front end lower. This is only intended to be used at the start of a race, and is designed to release after the first bump the front tire takes. It helps people who loop out their bikes on the start.

How do i install this on my bike do i have to take the fork out of the triple clamp? and do i have to drill a hole in my fork guard so i can put the button on?
Top 500 Contributor Top 1000 Contributor
Over 8 years ago Location: Knoxville TN
A: Yes, you have to take the fork and guard off. If you try to spread the bracket open to get over the fork it will break. The included directions will tell you where to drill the hole for your application and what size to drill. It is a very easy installation.

A: No, you will only need one.
A: No, You only need one and you put it on the desired fork. and Im sure you'd either have to take the fork out of the triple clamp in order to slide it on. what i would do is take the front wheel off and slide it on from the bottom it's a lot easier.
