Like the other reviews say, you definetly need to take the screws out and put lock tite on them before you go out and ride. I was to much of in a hurry and lost one of the screws on the very first lap around the track. Went home and put lock tite on them and now they dont come out at all. Feel great when your out riding too. Good grip.
Warp 9 T6 Footpegs [obs]
Awesome pegs.. Feels like your feet is on platforms. Be sure to loctite the screws in them though..
These foot pegs were purchased for my sons KTM 65. They were easy to install and look great. These pegs WILL NOT fit a 2012 KTM 85SX. I had to return one set due to not fitting.
I installed these on my '03 YZ250 and I am very please with how they look and how they perform. They are very wide and comfortable, and my feet never slip off. The down side, however, is that there is no "stop" integrated into the design of the pegs like on other pegs. When the pegs fold all the way back they make contact with the bike in places they shouldn't, like the brake pedal for example. My left peg stops against the bike with the cleat (one of the thread in studs) and the stud has already broken off after just a few rides. Overall I'm happy with these and I would recommend them, and I would likely but them again, but I am really disappointed and surprised at the oversight of not incorporating a stopping point into these pegs.
Bought these to replace my worn down 5 year old Lightspeed pegs on my 08 Honda CRF 450. The red ones look pretty trick but kind of stand out. They would blend a little better if I had a few more red parts on the bike. People definitely notice them. I put on the pointed spikes because I was tired of sliding around on my old set. They definitely grip, sometimes too much. I have SIDI soles that are really tough and don't seem to be too bothered by the sharp teeth. I would probably put on the blunt teeth next time. I put Locktite on the threads and haven't had any teeth come loose. I have ridden MX on them for about 5 hours and they still look great. Half the weight of the Lightspeeds, same wide platform, replaceable teeth, and great anodized aluminum look. The anodized finish may in time get more worn and nicked but you can always keep the teeth sharp. Definitely a great value.
I had been watching these footpegs for quite a few months, they took forever to become available and was begining to wonder if billet pegs had to be smuggled in from some remote location.
As soon as they were in stock I ordered them, was all pumped up when UPS's "big brown sleigh" came down the driveway - These were the orange ones, seemed odd that they came with Yamaha OEM springs but everything fit perfect when I put them on the KTM and stood back in admiration for about 10min.
However....went out to the track for some seat time & raced (1) moto and discovered (2) of the teeth were already missing and (1) had broken off on the left peg and (1) more fell out on the right peg!?!?
It's not like they were put under much stress seeing that the rider was an 8yr old and I guess this would explain why they sell "replacement teeth"
They do make your bike look dead sexy but not at all impressed with preformance.
I bought these pegs after breaking the stock titanium pegs in a crash three days before a race. They bolt right on and offer alot more stability! You will NOT slip off these pegs! After receiving them in the mail I took out all the pins and Locktited them in. Have no issues with them coming out. Great peg for the money! Also had them overnighted in time for the race! MOTOSPORT has the best reliability when you need your part A.S.A.P.!
Nice foot pegs, but i recommend that if you buy these to remove all the installed spikes and use locktite on them. Lost 3 spikes first time out. Also, too bad they don't have replacement spikes out yet.
