Awesome

Makes working on and cleaning my R1 so much easier. Well built, very sturdy, easy to use, and the handle being able to be removed is a cool feature too. I use this stand with spools, and I have no complaints. Worth every penny.

Perfect stand.

Best purchase for my 2005 cbr600rr so far! Makes cleaning & maintenance simple. The stand is quality and makes lifting your bike effortless.

Well made stand

This is a well made stand. It is strong and has a powder type coating on it. The wheels are pliable but firm and roll easily over bits of debris. The lever attaches in two places, on the left side or in the traditional location at the back of the stand. I bought this stand because my other stand was not wide enough for my 636. This one has a good range of adjustability and had no problem accommodating the spool width.

Quality Product

I purchased the Vortex for my 2006 ZX14. I very pleased with quality of this product. Removal handle feature is great idea, it give's me the room I need to safely store the 14 in my shed on the stand . I would strongly recommend a fender eliminator and the Condor Pit Stop. The ZX14 stock fender get's in the way of the Vortex Handle and the Condor allows me to get the bike up on the rear stand with no other assistance. Great product!

Best Purchase Ever!

For cleaning and maintenance it is a must. Solid and sturdy so your baby will not take a digger. Seems a little finicky for spool alignment, but when you are there give a push and up the bike comes. Own a Hayabusa and no doubt this stand will hold rock solid. Do not go cheap cause you will use a good stand!

Great Stand

I received the stand and it was packed very well. Assembly of the stand was very easy. This stand is very well built and the bike is very stable on it. I like how it has the axel holders and a place to store the handle when it is off. This stand is great and I really like the quality and the finish of this stand. Great job Vortex.

Nice street stand

I used this stand on my GSXR 750. The stand works great and is easy to use. The bike is very sturdy on the stand. I had my wife hold the bike up straight while I lifted and lowered the bike (don't think I can raise/lower the bike without someone to help steady the bike). The handle is long enough and provides ample leverage to lift the bike. The construction of the Vortex stand seems really robust. I can't imagine that I'll ever damage it.
I did not try using the stand directly on the swingarm. I did purchase the swingarm spools.

Built Very Well

You'll be happy with this one! The price and the adjustable function of this rear stand are both sweet. Use spools or your bike's swing arm, the choice is yours. It fits my Gixer like a glove. I'm sure it could be used with many, if not all, types of bikes. It's built tough so you know your bike will be safe from tipping over. I'm wanting the Vortex Front Stand now, just because.

Great stand-Great price!

Took only 15 minutes to assemble and adjust to the width of my spools. Under the bike it is rock-solid. Well built and affordable. Highly recommended.

Decent but not perfect stand

this stand is very easy to assemble, and seems to be built well, but you can the tolerances are wider than for a pitbull stand (but at $40 less that is understandable).
My only functional complaint about the stand is the round under-swingarm braces have these rubber pads that can spin on the brace itself. If the swingarm of your bike is setup with a high ride height and therefore a steep angle, the pad can spin and the stand can slide forward under the bike.
If this pad were fixed better to the brace that it wraps around, this wouldn't happen.
Things I like: the detachable stand arm along with the storage tube for that arm. I also like the axle holder even though I haven't used it yet. Finally, it's very cool that spool holders are included at this price, even if they were too bulky to use on my friend's SV650.

A: Your Ducati has a single sided swingarm so this will not work. You'll need to get a stand designed specifically for your bike.

A: If your bike has a place to put spools on the rear of the swingarm, this stand will work. If not, the stand also has swingarm pads..not quite as secure, but will do the job.

Q: Are all 4 wheels on the stands suppose to touch the floor?
because one of the wheel on both side is either in the air or doesnt move due to how tight it is. so i only have 1 wheel from each side picking up the weight...

A: I would probably give us a call and we could determine if this was a defect or not. other than that possibly just uneven ground. sounds like there is a problem with the stand. these are usually a great stand.

A: All four should be on the ground to support the weight. If they aren't, the wheels might need a little adjusting.

Q: Compare?

How does this stand compare to the HP TOOLS REAR SPORT STAND? I know the old saying you get what you pay for, but I don't want to spend the extra money if I don't have to.

A: Well, they are obviously going to be very similar as far as design and functionality goes. However, I'd probably have to say that the Vortex rear stand has a bit better overall fit-and-finish and is probably quite a bit more durable in the long run. If you're looking for a nice decent rear stand that'll easily get the job done and last you plenty of years without a problem, then I'd personally recommend going with the Vortex stand!

Q: Using without swingarm spools???
I ride an 05 gsxr600 that has a 6 inch extended swingarm, and does not have a place for swing arm spools, that i can tell. How will this stand work without swingarm spools? Or are there spools available that go through the rear axle, rather than bolt to the swingarm? Thanks

A: The stand can be used with or with out spools because it has pads that will lift the bike up on the flat part of the swing arm
Nichro

A: this stand can still work without spools. It comes with swingarm pads to use under the swingarm instead of spools. Not quite as secure, but it'll do the job.
