V-force 4

I noticed a reed chipped during some maintenance. I compared prices to change reeds or upgrade from the v-force 3 to the 4. A quick internet search showed a lot of positive feedback for the v-force 4. I spent the extra money, and I'm very happy w/ the overall results. Now obviously my bike's reeds needed help, but the bike felt really strong w/ more torque then I ever remembered. Too new to comment on durability, but my v-force 3 lasted a very long time, so I expect this model to at least last as long, if not longer. Bike is a '09 KTM 300xc.

2009 300XCW - Power and Torque is Back

My stock reeds blew. Iwanted to just buy new reeds but I wasn't sure if they were going to ship me V-Force 3 reeds or V-Force 4 reeds. So I just bought a whole V-Force 4 cage assembly. I'm happy with the new cage & reeds and I think the design is better than old version. I think it was worth buying the whole cage.

Prior to my reeds blowing, I thought my rings or piston needed to be replaced because my bike was starting to feel sluggish when going up hills. After replacing the reeds I feel like I have the same amount of Power and Torque as when I first bought the bike.

Wake up call

Installed the Vforce 4 on my 15 KTM 250sx and wow! The snap and crisp throttle response the reed offers is amazing. I paired it up with PC pipe & silencer and they complement Eachother well. The Vforce fills in the gaps and and adds a crisp quick snappy power delivery.

Awesome product, if you can use a spoon you can install this. With stock jetting at sea level and 45 degrees the bike was lean in the mid-top. After fattening up the main and lifting the clip on the needle it was a rocketship. Incredibly noticeable increase in throttle response and pull from idle to top. Highly recommend. Currently running 35 pilot, 175 main, clip in 2nd spot, N8RG needle at sea level 35-55 Fahrenheit with FMF Stealth Q.

Faster bike

Ever since I bought my new 2015 KTM 300XC it felt like something was missing. It felt sluggish to me from previous KTM 300's I had. Once I put this VForce on the bike the sluggishness went away and the bike is now fast. I would recommend this to anyone who wants more speed from their bike.

Huge Improvement

I noticed an immediate improvement over stock in power across the whole RPM range. Increased throttle smoothness and predictability while drastically improving the top-end. Didn't need to rejet because the bike was already rich in stock form. A+ , love it. Comes with the required gasket.

A must have

There is little a person can do in order to make your dirt bike more powerful. This is one thing and therefore it is a must have. All aftermarket reeds are noticeably better and this one is top of the line. The biggest difference is the crisp; snappy power. Be sure your pilot jet is lean enough so you don't get a bog delaying the power band...this may give you the impression the reeds didn't improve anything. PS: too lean and the bike will bog at full throttle.

V force upgrade

Had the 3's stock on my 250sx. had a petal chip so went with the 4's.
throttle feels crisper and bottom end seems to be smoother.
Bike feels overall snappier mid range.
Nice upgrade if you are due for some reeds

VForce 4 is Awesome!

I put a VForce4 on my KTM 300 EXC. I had to order some SX-based parts from my dealer in order to mount it, but after I got those, it was pretty straight forward. The instructions should mention this basic fact. It tells you to hack-saw off some rubber boot, but the EXC comes with an all metal piece which simply must be thrown out and replaced.

After I got the part on, my EXC is alot better. It pulls harder everywhere and has better high rev carboration. I like it alot!

Check out my youtube video with me testing the new part in Pike National Forest near my home in Colorado: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NY-gs2TmwTA

When will you be stocking the vforce 4's for the '17's? It is a huge issue on the new bikes, so hopefully you will be stocking them soon.

Q: Do you have to jet your bike different?

If you put the vForce 4 in, do you have to jet it different from the normal jetting with the old reed valve in? KTM 300 xcw

A: If your bike is currently jetted properly you will likely not have to make any changes after installing the VForce. I would recommend installing the VForce and riding the bike to see how it is running then tuning your carburetor from there if necessary.

A: Yes! I was a little nervous after I put these reeds in. Bike ran worse than it did with the stock one. After jetting it, hold on. Literally. It woke the bike up a ton, like riding a new bike. I am currently running 175 main, 35 pilot, N8RG needle with the clip in the 2nd position, FMF stealth Q at sea level around 35-55 degrees. Play with the clip if you run into am area of richness, mine a stutter at appx. 1/4 throttle until I moved the clip up one.
