Good Guard that lasts
These hand guards do a great job of blocking roost and they hold up well if you lay down your bike. I recommend them.

Good Product
Easy to install but had to move my brake resivour and kill switch on my 2011 WR 450. Rode with them twice and they do a good job of blocking brush. Color matches perfect.

Handgaurds
I run offroad races and find the hardest terrian to ride in. I have had a pair of these on my 06 KX450F for three years now. I have had plenty of spills and they have not had an issue the whole time and i have finally broken one. WELL worth the money. Mounting is not complicated but you do have to find a way for them to mount to your application the best but they will last forever. I hate the wrap around models as i feel they just get in the way. These are the best way to go for money and comfort and style

More like a 3 and a half
i just got finished mounting these on my 2011 ttr 125le and it was a difficult process. i had to move the start and kill switches to have enough room to mount the gaurds. The gaurds themsleves were a bit flimsier(?) than i expected but overall were a decent buy

Not good
The handguards themselves appeared to be of decent quality; however, the mount system made them completely worthless. It was very difficult, if not impossible, to get the mounts positioned such that they don't interfere with the clutch and brake controls while keeping the controls in a comfortable position.

Excellent buy
these hand gaurds are awsome I put them on my yz85 and they fit perfect. The reason I gave this product a 4 is because they were a little more flexible then I was hoping
Overall

I race hare scrambles and I have the wrap around metal bar. Can I still mount them?

These will not work with the wrap-around style guards that you have.

No. These would be better suited to a motocross/supercross race to shield roost. They aren't gonna protect your hands very much from an impact with a tree. Acerbis makes hand guards that include the metal reinforcement that would be better suited to a hare scramble.

Yes. They come with a universal mount that is made of hardplastic. It holds up pretty well unless you take a direct crash. You can buy mounting kits separately so if you need to replace just the mounting hardware. Hope this helps.

Have metal insert and mounting w/hot start...?
Do these have metal inserts to brace them? Also, I have a 2008 crf with stock handlebar and my hot start lever is on the left, will I still be able to mount these on w/that hot start already there?
MotoSport Staff

No, these do not have the metal cross brace and they will still work with your hot start.
