Very comforable

very pleased with this protector. much more comfortable than a plastic chest protector, especially if you are wearing a neck brace. The picture makes it look alot stiffer / thicker than it really is though. it is more of mesh material with removable pads. very flexible. I was looking for comforable, so i was pleased to find that out.

The TLD Shock Doctor Vest features all "Strata" foam panels and The Alpinestars Bionic S2 does have hard plastic panels. The plastic panels give you a bit more heavy impact protection but the foam would allow for more flexibility and movement. I can't really say that one is better than the other but I would say you will be happy with either protector. Both Troy Lee and Alpinestars make great quality products.
