Bye Bye old straps
Just what I've been looking for. The swivel is the best, no more twisted straps. The soft strap for the bars will keep your bike from damage.

Pro taper tie downs black
Yes I would recommend it to a friend. they are awsome. They are easy to install on the bike and the trailor. I would rate it a five out of five stars. They are high quality and light weight and heavy duty strong straps. You won't be desapointed. Buy these they are worth every penny.

The Right Tie Downs
The Pro Taper tie downs were exactly what I was looking for. Clips with a swivel at the bottom and a strap that wraps over the bars and attaches to the strap's hooks. Provides greater security compared to a basic strap. Clips won't unhook when in-tow or when strapping down the bikes. No more fighting twisted straps with the swivel clip too.

AWESOME
I have always been real skeptical about using "grip" style tie downs but they work so well i have to open a can of man to loosen the buckle. the carabiner makes it easy to use. More importantly its quick to tie down the bike, especially once the sun has about to set. there is a perfect amount of strap length, not a lot to tie up afterwards, and what little there is can easily be secured with velcro straps. These are all around perfect. It should be noted that they are sold in pairs.

Worth the investment
Was hesitant to spend the extra money on tie downs, however they are well worth the money. Quality product. Very secure. No more worries about having a strap bounce loose and drop the bike

Cheap insurance that you will not loose your bike while hauling it. Love how it swivels too.

What It Is

The newest tie-downs from Pro Taper feature springloaded carabiner-style hooks, extra-wide 1.5-inch straps, soft-tie design, and swiveled carabiners.

Hits

What is the main annoyance of tie-downs? For us, it's untwisting them while we hold our bike up to make sure the strap is flat and straight when we pull them taut. With the swiveled Pro Taper tie-downs, just tie and pull. When the strap gets tight, the swivel will spin the straps flat. Also, the carabiner is burly, so clipping them to your Bed Buddy or hauler is confidence inspiring. Another trick feature is the Velcro tabs on the end of the straps that can be used to cinch up your tie-downs when they are folded up for storage, or anchoring down the loose ends when they are holding a bike in place-no more flailing straps whipping at your truck windows while you fly down the highway.

Misses

Not one of us here at TWMX utilizes the soft strap. We find it to be an unnecessary process, but then again, we don't pay for our handlebars and don't mind if they get scratched up.

The Verdict

These tie-downs are pretty trick, and while we don't need the soft-tie system, we are willing to bet most everyone else does. The swivel is a great feature and it allows the tie-downs to be that much more versatile.
