Great product
This is a little harder to install than the Wiseco since the bearings aren't on it already. Great product though. Hopefully it will be as durable or more than the WISECO

Very good so far
yz250f. The crank measured true within one thousandth before installation. Bearings installed nice and the bike runs very smooth. The bike has about 20hrs of riding with no crank or rod issues and no weird looking oil at changes. If the crank continues to operate this good for a reasonable period of time I would definitely buy another.

Stroker Crank....
Bought this crank with BBK for a 470 build on a Z 400. Very nice quality, rod comes already installed. Very nice power increase with stroker build. Strong parts, and awesome Motosport service! Tough combo to beat.

Best Crank
I bought this crank for my RMZ 450 and so far it has been going strong. I got approx 85 hours out of my last crank and expect to get just as many with this one. I wouldn't buy any othe brand!

Is the crank the same for a 2000 kx125, and 2003 kx125?
MotoSport Staff
1 month 5 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
The cranks between a 2000 and 2003 KX125 are different. Unfortunately Hot Rods does not offer a complete crank for and thing older than a 2003 model KX125. I check with Wiseco also and unfortunately they do not offer one either.

Why dont they make a crank kit for a 2002 rm 250?
MotoSport Staff
2 months 11 days ago Location: Portland, OR, USA
The reason why Hot Rods doesn't have a complete crank assembly available for the 2002 Suzuki RM250 is based off demand. Suzuki only used this crank from 2001-2002 and was changed in 2003. They do however offer the connecting rod itself, which can be used when rebuilding the stock one.

The hot rod crank assembly for a crf250r does it need barings and seals?
MotoSport Staff Expert
Over 3 years ago Location: Portland, OR
The main crank bearings and seals are not included with the crank assembly. We do sell a complete bottom end kit that includes them depending on if you need to replace them.

This is an oem replacement crank. We do carry some stroker cranks, just depends on what bike you are putting it on.

Seals and bearings?
Does this come with the bearings and seal kit?
MotoSport Staff
Over 4 years ago Location: Tualatin
It depends on the model but most all of the cranks do not come with bearings or seals. The complete bottom end kit does comes with bearings and seals and a complete gasket kit as well.

As of now the lead ban has only effected OEM, and not aftermarket parts.

Does this kit come with the piston and rings as pictured?
MotoSport Staff

I'm not seeing the piston and rings pictured with this crank assembly. This is just going to be the crank and rod assembly. It will not include the piston or the rings

Do you sell a crank kit for a 1986 suzuki rm 125?
Top 10 Contributor

Hot Rods does not offer a crank assembly for your bike. all thou they do offer a rod kit they usually run around $100 dollars and then your going to have to have someone rebuild it for you and that can get expensive. if your looking for a crank your going to have to use the OEM.

My old crank shaft bushing doesn't fit my new Hot Rod crank shaft, part number CS-YZ-250-01-02, why?
My bike is a 2001 YZ250 and the old bushing will not fit my new hot rod crank shaft. I searched your web and couldn't find a replacement or a note stating I required a new bushing. I believe the specifications are wrong for the crank shaft I received, otherwise I need a new bushing. I'm now stuck, I have my engine partially assembled without a path forward. Is there a replacement bushing recommend when installing the Hot Rod crank, CS-YZ-250-01-02?

Normally all the Hot Rod cranks are built to OEM specs so you should be able to run your OEM bearings and seals and from the pictures you supplied it's kind of hard to make out whats going on. I would recommend contacting Hot Rod direct to see if they can help you out. their phone number is: 515-402-8000

I have had these exact same problem with mine. Make sure they have the right year crank in the right year box. 2000 and 2001 are completely different cranks. Motosport sent me the wrong year crank and hot rods put the wrong crank in the wrong box so it was all screwed up and it set me back over a week until i got the correct one. And your photo explained everything perfectly.
