Great product

Great product. Much more comfortable then my previous neck brace. It's much more comfortable to wear. I have yet to crash with it and hope I don't have to find out how effective it really is.

IT's OK

the brace comes with two different types of straps to hold the brace in place . The larger straps that connect to the back of the brace go under the arms to connect to the front of the brace are to long and will only work if I use black electrical tape and fold them to the length needed. the smaller straps that crisscross under the under the arm pit to the outside of the opposite shoulder of the brace . just don't like that at all it's a step up from using duct tape to hold it in place Got it for my kid he likes it . I don't think its as good as his old one

Expensive, but worth it. Cant even tell that it is on when you ride even with out the straps on it.

Q: Atlas brace applicable for all riding levels?
2 years 11 months ago
We just moved our son (19 y/o) from a leatt to atlas. We purchesed the atlas carbon. We struggled between this and leatt 5.5 but settled on atlas. Is the atlas geared more towards pro riders who want a balance of comfort and safety (to win), whereas, the recreational non-pro should probably shift the balance to more "safety" - and maybe select the leatt? Does one offer more protection than the other (or protect different parts)?

A: The Atlas and Leatt Braces are very similar in design. Either would work well for Pro and Amateur riders alike. Both should provide great protection in the event of a crash.

A: According to Atlas this can be used with over the jersey chest protectors. The neck brace includes a manual with mounting instructions for use with chest protectors.

Q: Atlas just introduced their carbon brace with a slightly different design. Is this model being updated as well?

A: According to Atlas - "In spring - summer of 2014 there will be some slight running changes to the release system and graphics of the Original Brace but nothing that will effect the function or overall features."

A: I would follow the sizing chart to determine what size you need and order the corresponding brace to your measurements.

A: There may be a few chest protectors that will not work with this brace. There are several different mounting options with this brace that make it compatible with most. The Atlas Brace can be configured in various ways. Some options include: Stand-alone brace with no straps; Full 3-piece chest strap (included); Under-the-arms cross straps (included); Stand-alone brace with chest protector; Chest protector mounted to brace (see user manual for instructions on mounting).
