works GREAT!!!!!! a little slow on the .5 second update. you dont really get to the revs in real time (.5 second screen display update). works awesome for low RPM cruising

Kinda works

The hour meter part works just fine.

The tach part seems to be reading low. For example Id hit rev limiter on my crf 450 and the max rpms the tach reads is around 5500 rpms. (the actual limiter is around 10-11k rpms) This is very unsatisfying because I bought this for the tach feature.

Clever

I have one of these in my toolbox for working on random things. I don't take advantage of the hour meter function, but the tach is sweet. It's great for setting idle speed, checking timing advance, and anything else you'd want to know RPM for.

Works on anything with a spark plug, just wrap the lead around the plug wire, change the setting if you have to, and you're in business.

Easy and cool

Easy to install and accurate. I ditched the speedo and this is an excellent substitute.

Overall excellent

I'm happy with what I got out of this. The hour meter definitely helps me keep up with maintenance. The Tach is pretty cool too, my only complaint is that the delay on the tach can make it difficult to set the idle/adjust the fuel screw.

As far as durability goes, it hasn't fallen off or broken yet, but it only has 5 hours on the bike, so we'll see.

Q: I have a Trail Tech TTO Tach/Hour Meter and the rpm I get is only 50% of the actual. The idling of my CRF250L should be 1450rpm and I only get 720 rpm?

A: I would double check the wiring used to read the voltage at the spark plug wire. If everything checks out, contacting Trail tech to troubleshoot the unit would be a good idea. The Trail Tech guys are extremely friendly and always happy to help with any issues. (360) 687-4530

A: There's a setting you can use per the instructions:
"PPR Adjust (number of tach pulses per crankshaft revolution.) After the first button press, the PPR setting display appears. Press the button to scroll through (default 1.0, 2.0, or 0.5)"

A: If you were able to run this meter 24 hours a day, it would take over 4000 days to make it read over the 99,999 hours.

A: This will come with a adhesive backing, or if you'd like can use screws to mount. The TT0 Tach/Hour Meter will not come with a handlebar mount.
