Bar clamp

This product is top notch, unfortunately I had to return mine, which was the easiest return I've done in my 41 years of being on this planet, anyway, the fit was great, overall look was great, just a awesome piece, but if your going to run a high bend bar as I'm doing on my Ltr, then you need longer brake lines and possibly a few extensions on your electrical side to. The throttle and clutch seemed to be fine but I could see premature wear happening later down the road because of the tightness. If your going to run this piece on a Ltr, I would recommend longer clutch cable and brake lines.

TRX450R bar clamp

Just finished installing clamp on my 07' 450r and it took 10 minutes. Just pop hood, disconnect wires from stock dash and reinstall everything. I went with low contour bars and brake lines reached but had to adjust the brake line clamp.

The clamp is nice looking and raises the handlebars a few inches, which is what I wanted.

Too Tall

I bought these for my ltr450 thinking they would go great with the flexx bars i have. Not a good idea at all. They are 4 inches tall at least and make all the cables and wires pull tight when you turn hard to one side or the other. Not a very good design if you ask me. Great for the price but I wont be buying them again.

Excellent clamp/Need to drill extra hole though

Installed on my 08 400Ex and was a breeze. The only issue is i needed to drill another hole for reverse light and 1 more for vent tube. Was easy enough with drill and looks great. Only added about 2 inches in height but it actually worked out to my advantage. Definitely get the combo with the Renthal 1 1/8 bars...worth every penny. Makes my stock bars look like a kids set!!!

Great Look

Great clamp but beware when purchasing for a 2007 Honda 300ex it comes with a plastic piece not shown in the picture and contains only one cut out for neutral. You may have to cut two more holes if you want to use the reverse lamp and another hole for your gas breather.
The actual clamp looks Great and i would reccomend the Handlebar Combo.
I would also make note that the clamp does add almost 4 inches so you may want to go with a low bend.

A: I believe they raise the bars about ¾”. To maintain stock height you would want to use low bend bars.
Q: Is the Dash for the Key hole removable if I buy this for a 2005 trx450r or is it stuck on there?

A: Yes, there is a removable plastic piece that is used for the key switch and indicator light on the 2005 TRX450R. If you want to run the clamps without the dash portion you can.

Q: Why dont they make these to fit after market steering stems?

Hopefully someone here at motosport can help to get something done with this question i have e mailed trail tech about seeing if they can make me one of these big bar clamps to fit the houser steering stem or even make me an adapter plate so i can mount the one i have to it but have got no response and they are not the only ones i have e-mailed about this, i bought it last year from you along with a set of trail tech x-bars and in july my son wrecked the raptor in which it flipped and the handlebars bent and the steering stem too thats why i would like to go with an aftermarket steering stem such as the houser and be able to keep my bar mounts because of having the indicator lights and keyhole otherwise the mounts that come with aftermarket steering stems have no place to mount these items and i dont know what to do with them either, thats why i would like to keep the big bar mount so i can retain the location of these items and it is nice and durable unlike their handlebars though i cant believe one rollover bent them or even the factory steering stem for that matter. i will go with the renthal fatbars next time and this has been my hold up on purchasing these repair items to get it back up and in running order. thank you.

A: To be perfectly honest, this is a question for Trail Tech and Houser. Instead of emailing them try calling them. They normally answer the phone and normally are pretty helpful. The only answer I could think of is that some companies want you to run all their products together or they design the parts different since Houser doesn't have access to Trail Tech fitments and designs so thats why they don't make the parts interchangeable. So unfortunately since trail tech and houser don't make their parts interchangeable you're probably out of luck unless you find some other stem that can be ran with the trail tech mounts. If you want, I have attached both Trail Tech and Housers numbers for you if you would like contact them directly.
