I bought this for a 2005 400ex but it didn't fit, I can't tell how good the product was because it didn't fit. make sure it fits before you order it.

DID NOT FIT AT ALL!!
I GOT THIS GUARD ON MY LTR-450 WITH A SKID PLATE, I HAD TO CUT THE BOTTOM OF IT OFF. THE TOP MOUNTING PART WAS OFFSET TOWARDS THE SWINGARM AND THE CHAIN WAS RUBBING ON THE INSIDE RIGHT OF THE GUARD. 3 AND THE STOCK SPROCKET WAS HITTING THE GUARD AND SHAVED IT OFF AND CUT A -V- IN IT. AFTER 2 HOURS OF CUTTING, SHIMMING TRIAL FITS I GOT IT WORK.
I MAY HAVE BEEN A BAD BATCH BUT ITS JUST PLASTIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OVERPRICED!!

Compared to the stock chain guide this thing is awesome, It looks great and performs awesome. Its a little loud at first but it seemed to go quiet after a few rides. Great product buy one.
Will this Guide work on a +3/4in Houser swingarm using a full swing arm skid plate on a 05 TRX450R Honda.?
I am also running this with an Elka long travel rear shock, with an XC linkage. I need a chain guide that will take the slop out of the chain due to the extra slack needed for the long travel suspension, but it has to work with a full swing arm skid plate. Our trails are rocky in Alaska, and full skids are a must!

That is a tough question, I did find some info for this application although I'm having trouble finding a supplier that carries this. I called T.M Design to find out who carries this but they are closed till the Feb 23rd. here is a link of what it looks like: http://www.tmdesignworks.com/xcart/customer/product.php?productid=16575&cat=254&page=1
