This is the second armor shirt I have owned and it will probably be my last. Fits perfect- all armor stays put remarkably well and moves with me like it is a part of me. I actually forgot I had it on. Initially thought the zipper to the side was going to be a pain but it is not, In fact, that is brilliant engineering!
I'm all about safety. If you wipe out and your wearing your gear chances are that you will get up & keep on going.
like the air flow and great protection . MS shipped fast as usual
I have only worn this once as I just purchased it but wanted to offer my input on sizing and quality. I am 5'11" and 200lbs, the large/x-large fits absolutely perfect. I wear a large/x large t shirt and 34inch waste for shorts and jeans. Just trying to give everyone a bit of info on the sizing as the reviews are all over the place. I ride in AZ when its hot and although it was only 80 this weekend the airflow and comfort were good. I would recommend an under shirt as it might be itchy without one. Anyway, didn't even notice I was wearing it and gives you tons of protection for the rocky single track and off road riding here in AZ. I rated 3 stars on style because it's under a jersey so who cares…
My son said it is uncomfortable and itchy. I am concerned it will be an expensive item sitting in his gear bag....
WILL RECOMMEND TO A FRIEND. FEEL OFF A FEW TIMES, AND THE RIG WORKED GREAT. HAD RECENT SHOULDER SURGERY AND THE RIG PROTECTED ME.
I hate reading reviews on products that people haven't even tried yet. So I waited to give my review on this. I race enduro's and hare scrambles, so I was looking for something breathable and durable. I've ran it thru several races in 85° temps or higher and I've been impressed so far. Non constricting, breathes easy, fits tight and snug against the body and doesn't have a lot of 'loose' movement while riding. It takes a little bit to get it sized correctly to fit your body. Only complaint is that the zipper on the kidney belt comes loose sometimes, but thats a minimal complaint at best. I don't really have too many wrecks, but when I do I go all out and flat pile it up. This rig has held up pretty good so far.
In one of my races I went over my handle bars in a rocky and tree filled area and was able to get back up with no problems. This rig allowed me to take a pretty bad fall and get up with no problems. The only complaint I have is that the kidney belt kept coming unzipped while I was trying to put it on. It fits great and does not interfere with normal movement on my bike. I would recommend wearing a long sleeve shirt under it for extra padding from the hard pads.
i have had chest protectors elbow guards etc but have never really wore them because i just dont like the bulkiness and the feel. i decided to try this option for protection and i really like it. other than being warmer with the extra layer i dont know its there.
My first time out wearing this I took a spill over the handle bars and came down hard on my left shoulder and rolled a few times. I immediately popped up and wasn't hurting at all. I was very impressed with this product. I put it on every time I go out, even if it's a gentle ride. If you are like me and not as young as you once were then you'll appreciate the extra protection. Fits great and stays put too!
I've worm lots of these and this Thor is by far the least bulky and lightest. Way better than the sixsixtyone and the Fox version. Also, it doesn't have a "tail" that sticks out and untucks your jersey.
Size xxl fits well except for forearms - but he has quite thick forearms. Commented that was hot when not moving but kept enough of the wind out when moving to stay warm. It is a very sunny day, tho.
Molds itself to your body.
Great products ! I wish every company was as easy to deal with and had such great customer service as Motosports has. Just great
people to deal with ! Theres alot of companies out ther that could learn from Motosports.
Fix the kidney belt from unzipping
wow what a great product for the price. others were so much more expensive. i bought the l/xl i believe. i weigh 210 and it fit very comfortably with the straps and so on. i have short arms so the sleeves were a little long but i didn't expect a tailored fit, just an fyi for those under 6. total proctection expecially in the back and shoulders arms and so on. the chest is great also but was worried more about my back.
I just recently purchased this. Fitt is really good. Plastic on the pads is thinner than other similar setups but that is not always a bad thing. I did not rate this on durabilty because I have not taken a spill yet to put this to the test.
Overall its a nice set up for the money and fitts. Nice
Bought this for myself while looking for a chest protector. Very happy that I got this one instead. Has all the upper body protection plus kidney belt/ Love the side zipper, doesn't split the chest protector in half. Easy to put on & take off, great ventilation. Everyone has made comments on it & our looking to buy one.
I am always somewhat skeptical about purchasing anything on line especially clothing and "fitted" gear. this item fit snug and it it had protection in all the places that are vulnerable. Even after some extended riding it was still comfortable. It also breathes great, so I was concentrating on my riding, not being uncomfortable. I am a recreational rider not a racer, so this unit works well for me as opposed to several pieces of gear. Ride on!
"Sorry, we only have the weight that pertains to the size of our Impact Rig.

Unfortunately they do not have the exact sizing specifications available. For more information I would look into contacting Thor Directly on this at: http://www.thormx.com/
