Great tires

Tires were mounted by Big O tires for a cost of $13 per tire. Great tread, and work great on the rocky mountainsides we have.

Q: Will this tire fit ??
1 year 7 months ago
Needing new tires. Standard front tire size is 26x8R-12 on my 2008 Polaris Sportsman 500 EFI, very few tires come in this size, can I use a 26x9R-12, due to the front strut clearance?

A: ATV wheels and tires are made in multiple sizes for different machines.
Wheels are listed as “Diameter X Width”
Tires are listed as “Height X Width X Wheel Diameter”

You will have to make sure the first number in the wheel size and the last number in the tire size are the same so that the tires can mount on your wheels. We have the stock tire sizes listed for most all models on our website. Please be sure that you have the proper machine in your “shopping for” selection. We do NOT have a listing of alternative sizes available for your machine. We suggest staying with the stock sizing as changing the size can cause issues with handling, reliability, rubbing and could have adverse effects on performance.
Q: I want to put 27x9x12 Black Diamonds on my Polaris Sportsman, but it has a 8" wide rim. Does the 1" make a difference to get them mounted?

A: You should be fine on the rim width. Be sure you have clearance for the wider tire!!!

Q: Are they DOT Approved?

A: Yes, all of the Black Diamond tires are DOT approved. The DOT approval is stamped into the sidewall of each Black Diamond tire. We do not recommend the Black Diamond tire for extended highway use, in some parts of the country the DOT approval is required for even the most minimal road use…such as crossing a highway, riding on the shoulder from one trail system to the next.

The Black Diamond is a 6ply, semi-aggresive off road tire and we do not recommend it for high speed road use or extended/long term road use. It is intended to be an off road tire and the DOT approval aids in the road crossing and short road use.

Q: STI Black Diamond XTR atv tires?
2 years 4 months ago
I have a 2010 Polaris Crew 800 4X4 and for the front the oem tires are 26X9.0 R12 and rear are 26X11.0 R12. I carry heavy loads about 800 lbs and see these tires are rate for 736. Will they work? We are in Colorado with rocky terrain and very muddy when it does rain.

A: These would be a great choice for the type of terrain and conditions you will be using them in. However, i don't recommend going over the manufacturers load rating.

A: If you are currently running stock OEM tire sizes, you shouldn't have an issue but I would recommend measuring to check your clearance before ordering.
