STI Tire & Wheel has now released a new diamond in the rough: Black Diamond. This super-versatile new ATV / UTV tire is designed to deliver crossover performance - an ideal choice for all terrain types and all seasons - at a value price.

The Black Diamond's innovative "V" tread pattern bridges the gap between soft mud / snow / sand and hardpack surface capabilities. Its unique over-center tread elements provide a smooth, controlled ride on hardpack, while offering excellent traction and clean-out in soft conditions. The Black Diamond's 6-ply radial carcass was developed specifically to provide the stability needed for side-by-side UTV applications, while retaining the plush ride characteristics favored by ATV riders. An extended-wear tread compound retains biting edges longer and greatly increases tire life.

The Black Diamond is now available in two models and more than 30 sizes. The Black Diamond ATR features a 3/4-inch tread lug.

Tire Specifications:

  • Tire diameter: 22.2".
  • Tire width: 11".
  • Rim diameter: 10".
  • Ply rating: 6.
  • Tread depth: 3/4".
  • Maximum PSI: 7.
  • Maximum load capacity: 385 pounds.
  • Tire weight: 21.8 pounds.

Motorsport tires for ATV

Can't say enough good things about the tires or the service. When I talked to Jake after we had problems with one of the tires; he couldn't have been more helpful and he promised a replacement tire as soon as he could get one in stock and it didn't take long. It came today and I was totally shocked that it got her so fast. I am totally pleased with your company and especially kudos to Jake. Thank you Al Koenig

Best ATV tires on the market

For the money these radials are the best for off road as well as on pavement riding I have found. You just do not have any problems with them. Buletpoint

Best tire buy I have ever made.

I am so glad that I bought these tires because they really grip well and ride smooth on hard pack and being 6 ply the will hold up to the rocky terrain that we have here. Put these tires on the front of my 2002 Polaris 500 H.O. 4x4 and plan on getting a set for the back, can't beat Motosport's prices and free shipping.

Best ATV Tires

I have had three sets of these tires on three different ATV's. On two I logged over 2600 miles total in just a few months without a single issue with these tires. 90 percent of my off roading was in two wheel drive without getting stuck once. These tires also handle very well on Hard surfaces like pavement. They do not squirm like bas type ATV tires on pavement. I would recommend these tires to anyone. JLR

How is this tire in light to medium mudding?
i have a 1998 big bear 350 4x4 and I'm going to get stock size of theese tires but I also was wandering about how this tire would affect power loss since it is a heavier tire than the little do pops that I have on it now thanks:)

The STI Black Diamond Radial ATR is a great all around tire and does well in soft mud, snow, sand and hardpack. Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

How much air pressure?
I've heard that for a comforable ride 2lb - 2.5lb of air is the most you want to use because of how stiff the tire is. Is this correct?

It's hard to say. 2lbs of pressure is really low. I would recommend starting at the pressure your manual recommends, then dropping air pressure in .5lb increments until you get to where you feel comfortable.

STI recommends starting at 7 lbs and dropping from there. They don't recommend going below 5 psi as your sidewall is not protected

The STI Black Diamond ATR 25x10x12(R) and 25x8x12(F). Shouldn't these tires be approx 25" dia? Tire spec chart says 22.2". ???

I'm not sure which tire spec chart you are refering to but According to STI's tire spec chart on this tire, both the 25x8-12 and 25x10-12 tires would be 25 inches in diameter. http://www.stitireandwheel.com/2011/06/black-diamond/

Replacement 22x9x10 tire?
I understand this tire is discontinued, what do you recommend for replacement. 93 Kawasaki 300 4x2 Bayou front tires??

Unfortunately that stock sizing on the Bayou 300 4x2 is not incredibly common. I would look at either the STi Black Diamond tire or the ITP Mud Lite. Both are great tires with 6 ply construction which should be more durable and lost longer than the stock tire. The size you would go with would be 22x8x10.

Tire size difference?
My original front tires are a 23x7-10 with a 10x5 rim. Will the 22x8-10 tire fit on this without causing problems? '96 Polaris Xpress 300

Yes, the 22x8x10 would fit the rim no problem and would not cause any clearance issues. Keep in mind though, by going from a 23" tall tire to a 22" tall tire, you will lose 1/2 inch of ground clearance if that is is a concern to you.

We do have wheels available but unfortunately without knowing what they will be installed on, I cant say if we have them in the correct offsets and bolt patterns for your application. Unfortunately, we also do not ship wheels and tires internationally, so if you are located in India, we wouldnt be able to accommodate you on wheels and tires regardless.
