these things are awesome. ive worn them 20+ rides and still holding up great. makes the boots fit more comfortably and i ride better just knowing im wearing them. only downside is you have to be careful when pulling pants on over them because sometimes it will unhook one of the velcro scraps

Well worth the price

After a long search, and either trying on or using several different shin guards, I found the holy grail with these! Well worth the $60, too. They take a little getting used to, putting them on and taking them off...lots of straps and lots of velcro. But, they stay in place and are extremely comfortable. I'm 5'-11", 185 lbs, and the size Medium fits me perfectly. A great product!!

these are great knee pads their comfortable but a little tight and they are not gray there white

Great buy

i just got these the other week and so far their great. my shins and knees used to always get busted up and now their fine. They're very comfortable and the air flows threw easily. You wont find better knee/shin guards for the price

Q: Could this break a femur.?
I am looking at getting some knee/shin guards and not braces because of possible femur breakings. Do you think this guard could break a femur? Thanks for any help.
Over 7 years ago Location: kennewick, wa
A: very unlikely. Any accident with enough force to fracture your femur would do so independent of your shin guard. This guard provides impact protection for the front, but is not rigidly attached to the back of your leg, so you should be fine with it.
Over 7 years ago Location: Pasadena, MD
A: It would be impossible. Knee and shin guards protect your Patella(knee) and your Tibia(shin). Your femur is your thigh bone. It protects much better than without one.
Q: Will these fit?

will these fit comfortably inside a hard protective boot?

A: As long as you have the extra room or can adjust the boot to be wider in the calf a little bit you should be alright. They really aren't bulky at all.
Q: Would these fit with the fox comp 5 kids boot?

A: I would search for a youth knee guard as apposed to this adult size knee guard. I highly doubt these would fit a youth or a youth boot.

Q: What are the size ratios?

i weigh 135lbs what size would fit me? in the adult range

A: I would probably have to recommend going with either a small or medium, depending on how big your legs, knees and calfs are. In general, since SixSixOne doesn't list any kind of sizing chart for these knee guards, just go with whatever size you feel would best fit you. As vague as this rule of thumb may sound, it still remains the most accurate way of sizing for these kind of products where selecting a size isn't always clearly defined or easy...
