Silkolene's advanced racing suspension fluids are designed for the latest competition suspension systems. They feature low friction synthetics, anti-foam and wear-resistant additives to ensure predictable suspension performance, long seal life and silky smooth action. They are used extensively by factory teams and suspension specialists in road racing and rallying competition. The oil provides exceptional performance in air, nitrogen and argon filled systems, and has a high viscosity index (VI), which eliminates the 'fade' experienced when shocks are required to operate at high temperatures. Available in a variety of grades which can be individually blended to give an expertly fine-tuned suspension response.

  • A synthetic technology, high viscosity index, racing suspension fluid developed to exceed all current requirements.
  • Unique fluid engineering techniques integrate low-friction synthetics with wear-resistant additives.
  • Thermally stable and provides exceptional performance in air, nitrogen and argon gas filled systems.
  • Used by factory teams using Penske, Kayaba, Ohlins, WP and Showa front and rear suspension.
  • O.E.M. fluid for Penske Racing Shocks and used exclusively by Pro-Action Suspension and franchises worldwide.
  • Various grades can be freely mixed for extra fine tuning.

Fork Oil

A little pricey, but holds up well. Works great in all sizes of forks. I rebuild 6-10 forks a year, and this stuff makes them consistent through out long rides.

Winter rides

The colder it gets the thinner your fork oil needs to be. 2.5 wt oil is as thin as it gets, but the price is a crime.

This would be good in the forks, but I would look for a shock specific oil.
