High-Quality, Realistic Price

After stopping by a local bike shop I decided I wanted a Scorpion helmet, they're a superb brand with high-quality materials at a price that won't cost you an appendage.

The EXO-1000 caught my eye from a style standpoint at first, the helmet looks awesome. As I was reading more the features blew me out of the water, I knew I had to have this helmet. The padding is great, the airflow is enough to keep my head fairly cool in 85+ degree weather, and the flip down sun shade is a nice touch. It's a tight fitting helmet, so be sure to check sizing charts before ordering, and it'll fit a little snug.

TL;DR : Buy it, you won't regret it.

Features not so great

It's true for most of what they say. Definitely choose a size larger than what you normally wear. I fall between the small and medium, so I went for the medium, and even that is snug, but I do feel protected (I can feel the liner touching all parts of my head without discomfort).

It's also true that the helmet is REALLY HEAVY. It's one of the heavier helmets out there :/

The cheek pad inflation is useless for me since I have big cheeks, so it's quite uncomfortable :( I wish I could have smaller cheekpads, but the size only goes up, not down.

Supposedly I will "break the helmet in." So I'm still waiting for that.

The inner visor is AWESOME! I'm pretty photo-sensitive, so I actually double-up on the tinted inner and outer visor. It's also nice for a hot day. You don't have to worry about fitting some glasses in there.

The speed-shift visor is garbage x( Sure it comes off really quick! But then you struggle to get a new one on. I also feel like the gear to bring the visor up is really stiff, and you have to push quite hard to control it's position.

Overall, The styling is excellent, and the fit is pretty good, except for the cheekpads. All the vents are nifty and I don't think the wind noise is all that bad - you need to expect a bit more from a vented helmet. It's okay for the price, just make sure to expect a heavy helmet.

This is my first helmet and I love it. The air system is awesome and I really feel safe while I ride my bike. The price is also good for this helmet.

It's heavy

This helmet, is pretty cool looking at it and the vents seem to work pretty well. It is heavy. I'm coming from an Icon Mainframe helmet and this is much heavier.

It's for narrow oval heads and the large seems smaller than normal.

It's noisier than the Mainframe too, I've notice.

I can't complain to much, I got it for a great price.
