A: The answer is...not exactly. They are called “overpants” and supposedly sized more like “overpants”. But because the other Taichi pants have pretty narrow hips and slimmer fit, that just makes the Matrix fit more like regular relaxed fit pants than true overpants. And to me, it’s not really an “overpant” unless is has very large opening access zippers so you don’t have to stuff your jeans down inside. Without having big access zippers, I hesitate to recommend using the Matrix as true overpants like what you would want if you were trying to commute daily with them or something. Now, many people do choose to wear them over shorts or over sweats or something. But I would recommend them more as a cool weather, waterproof option for just a straight up riding pant as opposed to a true “overpant”.
