Ride Engineering's newest product is a suspension link to lower the back of the motorcycle to help balance out the bike. This improves handling and keeps the bike going straight in whoops allowing the rider to be much more aggressive. It also keeps the back end planted in braking bumps.

  • Stiffens the initial part of the stroke for better control and less wallowing in rough sections of the track.
  • Typically, the bike feels more balanced and predictable while handling is improved in flat and off-camber turns, driving the bike forward instead of sliding sideways.
  • Comes complete with all necessary bearings and seals.

Ride engineering link 2014 yz450f

Raise the forks 10mm and this link greatly improves turning and rear suspension performance. Allows bike to turn off berms early without a stink bug stance. Stable on whoops and jumps.

OK, not a home run

Installed this on my 2013 KX450F to help settle it down entering and exiting corners, and it did help in those areas. The bike was calmer in the chop and stayed settled in the corners. Part of that was from raising the forks in the triple clamps, and working more to dial in my suspension. But at the end of the day I think a racer would do himself better to save up a few hundred more and just have his suspension revalved. This is just a poor-man's half measure for the KX. If you really want that beast to do as its told you need to have your suspension set up specifically for you. Now I know...

Ride engineering lowering link

Link did help with the handling of my crf but after I had my suspension revalved I was told it was not needed. Most suspension companies recommend using your stock link with a revalve. So if you are only going to run your stock suspension this link dose help your handling mildly but if you are thinking of having any other suspension work done consult them first prior to buying this link otherwise you might be throwing money out the window.

Awsome

This made my crf handle like it should. I mainly ride in the woods, I had a lot of deflection on rocks and roots. After this link arrive right over everything. The way the bike corners now is the best part. It always felt before like it wanted to fall to the inside. Now I don't have to worry about that. ( giving good conditions of course).

Stability enhanced

Did much research prior to purchase. Wasn't sure if I wanted to go with an engine relocation kit or linkage to get rid of the "dead spot" wiggle on corner entry. Decided to go with the linkage because it also lowered the rear end and I'm not very tall at 5'9". Installation was a five min job. This product really exceeded my expectations. Long fast straits were much more stable and tracked ruts better on corner entry and exit. Slight under steer was noticed compared to stock but Its noting to worry about. I thought this trait was an enhancement but that's a personal decision.
