Great for on-trail adjustments

After messing around with stubby screwdrivers on the trails in the mountains for a few months, I finally broke down and bought one. Really glad I did because now I can adjust my air screw much easier and therefore am more likely to do it before every ride as should be the case. Much easier to lean over and adjust this than to stop the bike, get off, get tools out of my pack, start the bike, fumble around with a short stubby screwdriver trying to find the fuel screw and slot, adjust the carb, stop the bike, dismount, stow tools, etc..... One negative is that the tip is not identical to the keihin, and a pilot jet change may be needed to get back in the correct adjustment range.

Jet Fuel Screw

I have used other remote fuel screws in the past. They vibrate loose and even fall out. If you have a carburetor on your bike this is a must have! Easy to use and time saving so you can ride more. Thanks.

Simple, but Smart

Much easier to access than other fuel screw designs. Just installed, so no rating on durability at this point. However, I expect 5 stars on that end, as well.

Air Fuel adjustment screw

This is a must for makig your bike run correctly. With the screw installed, making adjustments to the air/fuel is quick and simple. Why a fine motorcycle like KTM does not have this installed at the factory is just too crazy to ask. This the best $20 you will ever spend on your bike. Don't even try to ride without getting this first. It will help you get the "bog" out of your throttle response.

Flex cable misture jet fuel screw

Wow this makes things easy. If you make adjustments to your carb based on temperature, altitude, or racing conditions, this is the trick. We live in an area were temperatures vary greatly from early morning to late afternoon and found it difficult to adjust the standard mixture screw on CFR250R and KX250F bikes until we installed this great product. Adjustments are a snap and the mount makes it easy to get to. Of course you typically need to remove the carb to install but well worth the money and time.

This is a fuel mixture adjuster, and by decreasing your fuel you are increasing your air. You already have this screw on your carb, this item just makes it easier to access it on the track to fine turn your ride.

Yes, the R&D Flex Jet Fuel Mixture Screw will replace your stock (OEM) fuel/air mixture screw making it much easier to make adjustments with out having to use any tools.

Are there several different size/type flex jet fuel screws?
I am trying to buy a flex jet screw for my 2000 drz400e I am aware that the flex jet screw is only made for fcr-mx and not the old slant style fcr's but I am aware of how to overcome this problem The only problem I have is that I was under the impression that there was only one flex jet screw, not several different ones. Does this mean that no matter what bike I pick from your list of comparable bikes i will get the same product? Or is there a difference

There is actually only one Flex Jet. The website required a bike selection so that it won't be ordered for bike it does not fit. But you are correct that there is only one flex jet that is meant to fit FCR Carburetors. Since you have plans to use this on a bike that is not listed for fitment with this, you would simply want to select any bike this would be made for to order it, for example you could select a 2008 Suzuki RMZ450 and then the website will allow you to add the item to your cart.

this is only one size and the bike list is just to see if it would fit your model. From everything I see it is not designed for your carb.

I have a 2006 crf 450 and am having a hard time getting it started only on first start starts fine after warmed up. any ideas on carb adjustments?

Several things could be the issue but my son has the same year 250. Check your hot start operation to ensure it is not sticking. Also, the carb does have an fuel pump diaphragm and if you give the bike 4-5 shots of throttle before trying it cold that helps. His bike starts cold with choke on 1st or 2nd kick. if this does not work, try some of the 4 stroke blogs. We have also installed the Boyesen QS2.
