Waste of time & money.

Tried one of these Pro Wheels on my sons CRF150RB practice bike, trying to save a little money(have Excel`s on his race bike). Had heard all the negatives about Pro Wheels in the past, but thought the Generation 3`s may be better. I was wrong. Everything was installed correctly, with new tube, almost new Dunlop MX31, 14.5 PSI and spokes were checked every 3-5 laps. Rim got a flat spot in it within 1/2 day of practice riding.Worst parts is Pro Wheel wouldn`t do much as far as warranty, they said that was normal for MX riding. They offered me another rim at a discount, like I`d want another one. Luckily Motosport stepped up to the plate and helped me out with getting an Excel to relace it. Don`t waste your time and money with Pro Wheels, stick with Excel.

Decent product

This is actually the second time I have bought a Pro Wheel rim. The first one bent on me so I replaced it with an Excel Takasago which bent as well. I would say that the common factor was it did not seem to be trued correctly. That being said this one seems to be doing good so far after I took it to a shop to be accurately trued and balanced. Overall time will tell. But for the price "You get what you pay for" holds true .

You get what you pay for

If your fast buy a better rim. If your mid pack am or below the pro wheel is a good deal. These rims are actually softer than stock and will bend quite easly. This is not opinion it is proven fact. Thers a reason the stronger rims are more money. The alloys and heat treating involved in making a stronger rim amp the price.

Color fade - don't buy!

I have had these rims for a few years now but I might ride a couple hundred miles a year at best. The rear rim remained black while the front rim has turned brown. I'm guessing they're anodized, but the process was not done correctly on the front rim. So now, I have to disassemble the rim, replace and respoke and true a new rim. I'm sure you all know what a pain or cost that can be. Pro Wheel offered to give me a %20 discount if I wanted to pay for the shipping. Not good customer service IMO. Excels next time.

Pro wheel rim

the gen 3 pro wheel rim I ordered for my wife bike fit perfect no issue and the price was great. I bought their first generation rear wheel rim years ago and it was a night mare... I had to drill the hub which was not bad but the rim had to be drilled too because the spoke nipples did not even fit. Very happy with the improvements and recommend the rims and spokes to anyone.

Discolored in NO TIME

It's a shame because these rims are very affordable and have held up to some considerable abuse. But my back rim is still solid black - the way it came. The front rim has turned this bronze-black color and looks horrible. I contacted Motosport who contacted Pro Wheel who said there is NO WARRANTY on finish. Buyer beware.

Will my front spokes from OEM front rim fit this rim.?
My front rim is cracking at the weld, I replaced the spokes a few years ago with aftermarket replacements for OEM rim and don't want to replace them again if not needed. Thanks...

It appears that as long as the front rim came off of any Suzuki RM125-250 after 1986 it should fit any KTM model with a 21" front wheel from 1998-2012

No, the spoke kit is separate from the rim. If you order this Pro Wheel rim, all you will receive is the rim.

Would this work for a cr85 supermoto front rim?
hi would this 17 inch front rim work as a supermoto front rim for a cr85???

this rim is designed to fit the oem hub on a CR85. If you can find a 17" tire where the sidewalls don't rub the forks, than i don't see why it couldn't be used for supermoto.
