Pro Taper Clutch Perch

Installed on a 2009 crf450r with a stock steel clutch cable. Fits as expected and the on the fly adjustment is very convenient. I run this with a Rekluse Core EXP 3.0 kit with no issues at all.

Awesome Clutch Perch

My clutch pull with my stock yz250 perch was extremely stiff and hard to pull, I tried everything to fix the problem but nothing worked. That is until I purchased this pro circuit clutch perch, it immediately fixed my problem and made my clutch pull SO much easier and smoother. Its easy to adjust, looks great, and installation was pretty easy as well. Overall great product!!

Bought this clutch because of the price, brand and it says in the description "for use with stock clutch perch." However, after receiving this product and attempting to install (not rocket science) I noticed it would not fit my stock perch. I read the directions that came with it and they say... "ASV lever will not fit your stock perch unless you have a Honda CR- type perch or aftermarket quick adjust perch that uses a CR-type lever" Hope you guys (motosport) will fix the description. This is too nice of a clutch to relieve bad reviews because of that mess up. This product does come with the Kawi/Yamaha and Honda bushing Great customer service as always and got upgraded to another clutch

Great lever

This is a really nice set up. Easy cable adjustment, rubber boots keep the dirt out. The lever pivot actually has bearings in it and has an adjustable lever position stop. Plastic sleeve on bar mount allows easy adjustment to rotate perch on the bars and offers some give if you go down. This is my second one.

Replacement on 07 TRX450

Replaced the stock lever on my 07 TRX450er after my perch snapped off - This was one of the cheaper options out there and so far so good. The build quality of the unit seems to be solid, the only thing that concerns me a bit is the rubber cover that is supposed to be pushed up against the adjuster does not seems to be as tight/snug as the instructions suggest. Over time, this my erode my clutch cable, but we will have to wait and see. Definitely pulls a bit smoother than OEM lever and look better in black. would be nice if they sold a matching break lever, but now that's just being picky! Overall good product; would recommend.

Nice!

Purchased this for my 8 yr. old son's bike. This is his first bike with a clutch. The adjustment allowed me to set it up with a short throw for his small hands, also made for a somewhat easier pull for him. The quick adjust is a little weird, can't seem to get it to have the adjustment that I thought it would, I ended up fine tuning it with the lower adjustment at the clutch arm. It's possibly due to adjusting the throw so short, has to do more with me than the assembly. Once the boot is installed you can't see what's going on with the adjustment. Use a little Vaseline to get the adjuster boot on, it's super tight (good thing).

Looks good feels even better

love the quick adjust. smooth solid clutch pulls. the dust cover for the cable takes some muscle to pull off but provides a good seal. (Husqvarna 610 supermoto)

Reduced the tension of a clutch pull

The long arm and adjustments reduced the clutch pull strength significantly. A must buy! Just needs to come in different colors.

The Pro Taper Profile Clutch Perch is not a folding style lever. For that you would want to look at the Pro Taper Profile Pro Clutch Perch. Feel free to give us a call at 888-676-8853 and we would be happy to help you out with your order.

Will this work on CRF 125F?
Expert MotoSport Staff
MotoSportExpert
Yes, you can use this lever on your CRF125F. However, you will not be able to retain the stock (OEM) clutch lever starting safety switch. You will need to disconnect the switch and if it does not start you will need to bridge the wires to close the circuit. Manufacturers use it as a safety mechanism to keep your bike from starting in gear or without the lever pulled in. Once you have done this, your bike will start regardless of being in neutral or having your clutch pulled in.

Will it fit a Yamaha TTR 230?
Expert MotoSport Staff
MotoSportExpert
This is a universal Clutch Perch that is made to be used on a wide range of motorcycles. It does not have a specific model fitment but you should not have any issues using it on your Yamaha TTR230 motorcycle. The Pro Taper Profile Clutch Perch does NOT have any provisions for any electrical safety switch that exist with the stock clutch perch.

Will this fit on a CRF150F with electric start?
My CRF150F has electric start with it looks like grounding prongs on the stock perch. Will this perch and level work?

Yes you can but it would require some modifications. You would need to jump the two wires together for the clutch switch.

Does this lever have an adjustment to bring the lever in closer toward the handlebars, similar to the adjustment ASV's have? Small hands...?
Looking to replace my dad's clutch perch and lever on his '84 ATC 200X, already checked and his electrical is separate, but I need the lever to be adjustable (like ASVs are), since we have small hands. I'd prefer to get this lever since it comes with the adjustment and dust cover for a better price, and wouldn't look out of place on his bike, but I think an ASV would look weird on it. Side question: his bike has a very short clutch pull, meaning a short area within the clutch pull that can be used for slipping the clutch. Is there any way to get more slippable travel from the clutch? Longer arm on the case side maybe? Just curious... Thanks!

Yes, the Pro Taper Profile Clutch Perch does have a set screw to move the lever closer into the bars. It is much like the Honda OEM clutch perches on the CRF line of bikes. You can see this if you view the video for the product!
