Crash resistant

I put them on my beginners 85 and has already put the bike on the ground a few times and there is no damage on the end of the grips yet. No hand or thumb sores. Good grips.

A: Yes, the Pro Taper Grips come packaged as a pair.
Q: How good are they when wet? are they slippery after you get them wet?
I tried out the ProTaper pillow tops, and when they got wet they were slick as a bar of soap and resulted in a few backwards slips. And in Vermont, with the mud pits and streams, that is a disaster waiting to happen.

A: Unfortunately it is hard to say what grips will be best in wet weather. I am not aware of a specific grip designed to work better than others in wet weather riding. In addition what gloves you use can also have an effect on how slippery a grip is. You might try using a glove such as the MSR mud pro that has additional rubber on the fingers and palms to help with grip when conditions get wet and muddy.

A: I have a set of these on my WR 426f and I often ride in rainy and muddy areas with a buddy of mine who has the pillow top grips on his YZ 250f. After riding both I found that my half waffle grips had significantly more grip than the pillow tops. On my buddy's bike I could barely hang on but with the half waffle grips I never had any issue. I would definitely recommend these grips over the pillow tops for wet and muddy riding. Hope this helps!
