Great all around tire!

I've always been a fan of the XCMS front and decided to give the rear a try. GREAT TIRE! I've had this on my bike all over Virginia riding hare scrambles and in the sand in Sumter at the enduro and this tire does great everywhere! I'll be buying another one of these when this one finally wears out.

Pirelli XC Mid Soft Scorpion Rear Tire 120/100-18

I have been running the Pirelli tires for years. I find the Pirelli tire offer greater grip in all terrain. The Mid Soft tires do wear out fast, what tier doesn't. Even a worn Pirelli has better grip than any other.

BEST FOR TRAILS

I've been running MT32/XCMS tires since 1994 (roughly). The tread lasts a while and keeps on grabbing. The tread actually outlasts the sidewalls. That's why I gave it only 4 stars for durability. My friends have the same problems with the XCMS and the MT16. BUT, these are the best tires on the market for what we do here in Hawai‘i. That is why we tolerate the susceptible sidewalls.

Conservatively, I get a good 30-40 hours of tight trail riding abuse out each back tire, probably more. This is not bad at all for a back tire of a trail bike.
