Thus stand definitely made it easier for me to change tires and no more worries of bending a rotor or sprocket

Must have, frustration killer

After changing tires on the garage floor, then trying to do it on the tailgate of my truck, I decided to try a stand. Having a stand that not only brings the tire up to a good working level and holds it securely takes the chore out of the job. Im 6'2" and this stand can adjust almost to elbow height if not higher. It is portable so I take it with me to the track incase I need to change a tube. The little "holster" is a nice touch if you keep it in the garage with the spoons. I have not had to use the reducer ring yet but I imagine it will come in handy. The only drawback is the light weight. I found that once you really have to muscle the tire, turn the tire so you are pushing the levers away from you, get one foot on the leg, and lean into the tire a bit. This will help with the problem of it lifting off the ground or tilting up.

Better than expected

Stand can allow the wheel to spin (makes it much easier working around the beat for dismounting/mounting). Also locks in place if you need to work on one area or simply do not want any rotation. The ring has a rubber coating, so no damage to spokes and wheel does not slip around. Great stand, saves my lower back, and makes tire changes much easier.

Great help in tire changing

So glad I bought this item as it really helped me and a buddy change my own motorcycle fast, easy, and was great not to have to do this on the ground. Only issue, if I had to do this solo, I would definitely secure it to the ground as it did move around too much by myself. The rubber coating on the part that touches the rim was perfect and did not scratch it at all, plus it comes with another smaller sized piece for use on smaller tires such as wheelbarrows or lawn mower/tractor tires.

if you've ever struggled with changing tires and or tubes on your bikes like I have, this is the game changer. I didn't know how much a stand made a difference till I received mine. I only have two complaints which are minor and can be fixed. 1. the pins holding the stand together are rather very tight fitting and hard to remove and insert, but with a drill and a bit I was able to enlarge the hole just slightly. 2. the stands feet are great but the stance needs to be just a bit wider so the stand does not tip or shift while you are man handling a tire, I might bolt it to the floor or to a piece of plywood for a better stance.

Good stuff

ok this is way better than being on the ground wrestling your tire! the only little issue was the holes for the pins didnt exactly line up so i made some minor adjustments and i wont have a problem besides that

Q: MSR Tire Changing stand vs. Motosport tire changing stand?
2 years 10 months ago
Looking at buying one or the other, but other than the color and the location of the tool holder, they look exactly the same. I want the better of the two, regardless of the price. Thanks.

A: They are virtually Identical. The MSR changing stand would come with a smaller top adapter to allow smaller Mini bike tires to be changed (tires 10" or up), while the MotoSport Stand will work with tires 16" and up. I would say if you don't have any mini bike tires to change, saving a bit on the MotoSport Changing Stand would be well worth it.
