"I used a set of bike master tire irons on my first tire change fiasco and had a horrible time - blood, rim scratches and tire shrapnel everywhere. Used the motion pro spoons on the second tire and it had to be a thousand times easier. The tip design actually fits under the rim and grabs the bead. They seemed plenty long enough and rugged enough to do the job with minimal effort. Highly recommend."

Motion Pro Rimshield Motion Pro Rimshield Motion Pro Rimshield DurangoDirtRider (Durango, Colorado) Total Garbage "I thought these rimshields looked interesting given how difficult it is to change a tire ..." "I thought these rimshields looked interesting given how difficult it is to change a tire (especially the rear) on a dirt bike and not damage or at least scratch the aluminum rim. Yeah, it's a dirt bike but I scratch it enough when I crash it, so no need to wreck it further when I am working on it. Bought a pair, first use on the front tire of a 2011 Husaberg 570 FE and the shields got shredded. Shields cracked along the outer rim. Although the shields are nylon and they seem very tough, they are basically very hard and brittle plastic which can't withstand the pressure of tire irons (I use Bike Master irons). I wish the shields would have worked as, yes, I put a pretty good scratch in the rim during this tire change. Avoid these, you are flushing your $9.99 down the proverbial toilet. I am going to see if Motosport will allow me to return these, only $9.99, but could at least buy an inner tube which will be of use to me."
